JIN [Japanese Subs] (Complete)

Postby qop123 » Tue Oct 13, 2009 11:41 am

Hello, :roll

I'm uploading the Japanese subs for JIN.

These subs were extracted from the original broadcast data with a program called "Caption2Ass_mod1".

I don't know if I can continue to provide Japanese subs for the episodes ahead, but I hope you like it.

Checked with the 704x396 version.

(To display Japanese subs on Windows, East Asian Language needs to have been installed, and at the options of the player, a Japanese or Unicode font needs to be selected.)

Hello~ :roll

My idea is to provide Japanese subs for all the dramas on a stable and continuous basis. But I don't know if I can do it perfectly. But I will try it anyway. I have already extracted Japanese subs for Challenged, Mama-san Volley, Oh My Girl, Otomen, Real Clothes, Gine. But I have to cut the times of CMs to fit the raws.

On another matter, I thought these would be useful for those who study Japanese language. I sort of study a lot of languages, and I have a little command over German and Portuguese as well, besides Japanese and English. And so I thought it would be great if these became a help to those who study Japanese language.

To furransu,

Yes, yes, they must be very useful for the subbers. But the timing of these closed captions is not so accurate. Some of the lines are pretty rough, and so if you want to make more perfect subs, you need to modify some of the timings considerably.

Are you with Heiwa Fansub, and trying to sub Koushounin 2 as well, as I read from the thread of Hidarime Tantei?

If so, I will do my best to prepare Japanese subs for Koushounin 2 as well, though I cannot guarantee the results, I will make it a priority.

And I wanted to do this for Dandy Daddy? too, but I missed some episodes and lost motivation to continue. But looking back and thinking back, I now think that was not much nice of me. It only needed a little bit more of diligence. And so I decided to give it a try for this quarter.

im not with Heiwa, but i'd like to try get Koshonin 2 subbed :P so i need to find translators for it.. but if there are Japanese subs available, it will certainly increase the interest of potential translators as it will be easier to translate this way :P

Thank you soooo much!!!

Hope you'll continue providing Japanese subs for a long time!!!

It's not only good for the subbers, but also for those (like me) that aim to learn Japanese.
Many words we don't learn at Japanese classes, so these subs are really helpful to expand our knowledge. Thank you SO SO SO much for this.

How the hell did you manage to translate the third episode so fast? The raw came out just a few hours ago. You're incredible! The show is very good too; I just can't wait a week for every episode.

Edit: False Alarm  I mistook these for the English subs. :whistling:

First he is not translating, they are Japanese subs. Second, a lot of shows are subtitled in whatever language was the original, and he is somehow ripping these subtitles from the videos. This will make it much easier for the translator who just has to read the Japanese subs.

I just noticed these..watched ep 10 only with them...if you keep doing this on dramas in the future too, it would be the best way for me to learn kanji.. i've watched a lot of japanese stuff for lot of years and i understand a lot but i know zero kanji, so if you were to continue this it'd be a great help to me and the likes of me!

yeah that's exactly IT ^^

i know some kanjis from my time in japan and by looking with subs you rellay get a feeling to read kanjis, or rather you understand slang sentences because you get a feeling for the meanig through thekanjis
超便利だよ!

so please continue ^^

I extracted the subs myself. If there is ever need to readjust the timings, it is because encoders encoded the videos differently. In most cases, either of them made some mistakes, or removed extra sponsor credits. We only need to shift the times of the lines from the line that initiates the disynch. Almost any subtitle editing program has shift times command.

hi qop123, can you teach me how to extract the subs? I have the 1080p version but the subs for 704p doesn't sync well especially at later parts. i was also quite surprised that the timings are off for for different versions though you mentioned the reason could be removal of extra credits, etc. I have no idea how they rip the dramas but I always thought that the duration would be the same for different quality versions or even across different formats like rmvb, avi, mkv, etc.

You can't extract jp subs from 1080p mkv files, because they don't have any sub data. Theoretically, encoders can include jp subs in mkv files, but they don't do the job that meticulously. The jp subs are looked over in most cases. I extracted the jp subs from the other files I had access that had sub data. In the program called Aegisub, there is a shift times command. Shifting times one or two times should be good enough to synch the sub.
