Downtown Batsu Game 2008 [Eng Sub] (Complete)

Postby monkeybroth » Thu Apr 16, 2009 6:11 am

Hi everyone,

It took me some time, but yes, I subbed the latest batsu game
This is the link to the RAW video by tkbadjp - http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_69130.htm

But do take note though, I'm no jap expert so it took me alot of effort translating,
and even so, I believe the subs are still inaccurate with tons of errors.

Another thing is that I left out the 1st in-studio segment.

furransu - well i would IF i had alot of time. i wouldn't wanna promise you that i'd do it then take FOREVER to produce something. know what i mean?
so i guess that if i ever do it, i'd do it by myself, so that i wouldn't drag other people into my pace.

hi i have a question for everyone

i just found out that someone has uploaded the video with my subs on youtube.
i don't mind specifically but i did notice that in the segment at the beginning, where my name and webby is,
is blocked off by the uploader's annotations. i don't know if it's intentional or not but it kinda seems to me like the uploader wants to claim the credit.

so thing is should i be nice and let it slide?
cuz i feel kinda agitated that im not credited (even though yes, its a free fan-sub)

At the very least, you should tell the uploader to move the annotations. The fact that he had the annotations cover up your name as well as webby's basically means he/she wants to claim the credit for subbing it. Even though it's free fan-subbing, you should still be credited for doing the work. :salut:

I really hate it when somebody stole other people works,
really wanna punch them in the face..

You can play the video by itself, but it's just the subs that don't work? Did you cut off the .ass at the end of the subs? I do that sometimes. Your files names should be something like::

Video: gaki no tsukai 2008 batsu game.avi
Subs: gaki no tsukai 2008 batsu game.ass

When you play the video, the subs should show automatically. If not, there should be some option to select a subtitle stream. I don't use crap like VLC so I can't tell you for sure.

I also recommend uninstalling VLC and using the Combined Community Codec Pack with Media Player Classic instead. But technically it shouldn't be necessary.
