Sunadokei [Eng Subs] (Eps 1-10, 45-60 of 60) 11-44 AutoTrans

Postby Enclavet » Thu Mar 19, 2009 7:51 pm

Title: Sunadokei / Sand Chronicles

Synopsis:
An is a 12-year-old girl who, with her mother, has moved in to her mother’s parents’ house after her parents divorced. In her new life in an unfamiliar countryside surrounding, she meets some wonderful companions with whom she can relate. At that time, however, her mother commits suicide… With the support of her circle of friends, she is able to regain her smile again, but then suffers heartache over her romance with one of the friends which had just begun, and experiences heartbreak... --TBS

These subs are not perfect, I decided to do better subs than just the google translated ones. I used those as a base for the translations.

1-10,45-60 are cleaned up.

Rest are google translated. Someone else can work with them.

The first episode was done way back and the credit goes to the translator then.

6-10 are up. There are parts where I didn't understand what they were saying so some of the translations might be wrong. 11-15 might take awhile becuase I'm going to be translated ep 45+ for someone.

I recognized the title of this drama from the same manga name, and thought I should try it out. Well I've never read the manga, but since it's been made into a live action drama then why miss it. Surprised that this comes to 60episodes, but from watching the first episode, I can see why. The storyline seems really good and I love the kid actors for this one. The girl is so cute and spunky. I remember the boy from Byakuyakou. And also one of the guys in their older self is Darien from Sailormoon Live Action. So of course, I can't miss this drama.

Thanks so much for doing subs for this and will keep waiting for the next episodes' subs.

I was hoping someone would pick up this series at some point. Sub groups complain that it's long, but it's the same difference. They're going to do that much work by some point anyway by being a respectable sub group who translates multiple series, right? Why waste one that's probably perfectly good, right here? There is likely increasing demand for it, especially since they have been releasing the manga in English in the last recent year, and people who are in the know of dramas will probably come around a few doors looking for Sunadokei's drama. D-addicts upholds itself as the largest and most prestigious house for dramas, so I say ganbareee!!! We leave it in your good hands, don't let us down now, every effort is revered with respect and gratitude.

Yeah I know! I hope their going to continue subbing this! The last time they were logged in was mid may, so I'm not so sure now. D:
maybe someone else will pick this up soon since they would have to sub less episodes?

if I knew Japanese I would sub, but unfortunately I dont.

I sent them a PM asking, so we'll see if he/she will answer!

I wish I was proficient in Japanese enough to help fully sub this, but I only know enough Japanese to get by the series, barely. But this series is something that I couldn't miss, and something I think I can call one of my favorites.

I think whoever ends up finishing the subs for this will be highly praised. At least, by me. Haha. :D

I'm becoming devasted with this. It feels like just as I believe I'll finally be able to watch this in it's entirety, it all stops.

PLEASE, someone pick this up!

Of all times I wish I knew japanese..

Let's keep hoping for Enclavet

Great news! The website Vikkii.net finally has a page up for Sunadokei!

This means, as soon as they can get segmenters, uploaders, etc. They can start subbing!
Check it out here. Usually, if it's on this website, it'll get subbed.

http://www.viikii.net/channels/goto/sunadokei#

If you get on viikii and know how to do all that, please help out?

So sad, that no one want to sub Sunadokei. It's sooo great. I see, I have to watch it without understanding a word, but it's better than nothing!

If it is a good idea to ask several FanSub-groups to sub? Because they all said, that 60 Episodes are too much, so if many sub groups would translate, they don't have to sub 60 but for example 10?

60 may seem a lot but it's not that much compared to some anime, even if a drama episode is longer...

Argh, it's really too bad no team feels up to subbing it all (well the 50 episodes that are left technically :D )

Yeah, i thought exactly the same, some anime has more than 300+ episodes and nobody cares if there are so many of them :(

But there are so many sub-groups which could make it , it makes me feel sad.. maybe they should really just split the work?

Really is no one going to continue subbing this series? First 10 episodes got me addicted to it... and then it stopped. Please someone continue this series.

Do you think it's helpfull if we trying to ask several fansub-groups if they can sub some parts, for example group a: 11-20, group x: 21-30 and so on?

Would someone help me to ask some sub groups? Because I really want to watch this drama, I love the Manga and the first drama episodes, the Movie isn't bad, too, but the drama is so much better. I badly want to watch it :(

Well, i usually watch english subs though i'm french...
Guess if no team continues subbing, i could use my speaking both french and english (plus a little japanese ^^) to continue this project.

The thing is, you'll need a little more patience as i would do that on my own ;)

Ruichan2380, I know some french and I have a couple of family members who are fluent in french. May be you could forward to me an SRT file and I will see if my family can help me translate some. I have never translated before and I'm not promising anything but I would like to give it a try and see if I can help you out a little bit.

Bonjour !

Merci d'avance

Hello!

I have Sunadokei project that we will come out in French ( and in english since i will send this to a english translator ).
Unfortunately I had an issue with my hard drive and I lost the RAWS of the episodes 10-60. If someone can pass me the RAWS with megaupload, I'd be deeply grateful. Otherwise, I'll have the project blocked because torrents lack of sources.

Thank you in advance

Was checking my HD and found all the subs. 1-10,45-60 are pretty good while 11-44 are autotranslated but will help you understand what they are saying.

do u have french subs? Where they are? Can u help me get those to this drama sundokei? Merci! :)

I'm still ready to translate those into English, but I never got them...
Enclavet, if you have them, maybe you could share them. ;)

All I can do is sub, I have no idea how to time/encode etc but if it's already a sub file, this is already done. ^^

All of them are in the front of this thread.

11-44 are google translated from Chinese subs.

Is there any progress on the subs?
I had found on youtube someone with the raw version of Sand Chronicles, but I don't think it's in order (or if it is, I just can't read the japanese title)
If someone wants to they can just add captions to the videos or go on Youtube Download, and then re-upload and then add the captions.
I really hope someone is subbing this series.

What do program do you use to open the files? Also they are with english subs correct?
