A few people had reported, that file uploading is giving an error of "invalid filename". It usually happens, when the filename contains non-ASCII characters, like letters with accents.
E.G: [Colettesubs] Pinocchio 13. r??sz.srt is an invalid filename
The 2 question marks supposed to be a character "é".

Re: [Error] Non-ASCII characteris in uploaded filenames
if this is a limitation by the board software then I see only two solutions:
- don't use non-ASCII chars
- pack your sub files in archives (zip or rar) and upload these.
The name of the archive file should be composed of ASCII characters (of course).
Re: [Error] Non-ASCII characteris in uploaded filenames
It's a known bug with phpBB 3.1.x, whereas 3.0.x doesn't seem to have that problem.
Re: [Error] Non-ASCII characteris in uploaded filenames
this should be fixed now with the update to phpBB v3.1.3
