Synopsis
Shirakawa Jiro is a gifted writer and he has published 99 mystery novels with trickery magic as the theme. Ever since he had submitted his writing for a short story writing competition and won the grand prize, he has been writing non-stop. Now, he is under pressure to come out with his 100th novel, but is facing a writer's block. Three months past, he is still without any inspiration. In order to get fresh material for his book, he transforms himself into Aonuma Rio; a long-haired hunchback who mutters unintelligibly, but is excellent at getting information out of others. He came across the case of the "tulip murder" while surfing the net, and decides to use this as the theme for his 100th novel.
Beautiful Kahima Rika is Jiro's editor, and together with him they set out to unravel the mystery of the tulip murder.

About
This is my first go at subbing TV shows, done a few manga here and there, but I wanted to be involved in this since its a Satoshi Miki project and I loved some of his stuff in the past. I'm just a one man band, but any glaring errors or format requests, just chuck me a PM and I'll try to get on it ASAP. I'll continue subbing as long as i can get the RAW files, I couldn't get episode 1 until last night, hence the long delay. My Japanese is a bit rusty, haven't really had chance to use it in a few years, but I'll do them as fast as I can. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it :)

You're quite welcome, I loved Jikou Keisatsu and Atami no Sousakan, so thought I'd jump on this in case it wasn't getting picked up. I've taken so much from this site over the years, it's nice to give something back. My translations might be a little wooden at first, but I'll do my best to improve. Glad to do it anyway, the first episode was great :D

Oh my apologies, I thought this was one of the lesser likely to be picked up! Please feel free to upload yours or perhaps we could colab or something. Well, this is the first thing I've subbed so I'm not sure what kind of partner I'd be :blink always open to ideas though!

It's alright, there's nothing to be apologized :) You're right, thus I'm happy someone picked this up. If you want me to help on anything, I'll be happy to provide, just mail me at yuuki.nkmr@gmail. Thanks again for the sub :thumright:

Actually, I was thinking about subbing this too. But the last time I did two series in one season, it was a disaster (one got more and more delayed) so I'm very happy that you picked it up!

Hi there. I'm completely ignorant about being able to create working torrents but I've been ripping and uploading RAWS. Here's episode 2 if you need it

http://www.mediafire.com/folder/lar74rx9ut5b3/Episode_2

it's a 1280x720 mp4 btw

Thank you so much for picking this up.

That's brilliant, thank you very much! I've been waiting on a RAW to get started :) I don't really have the upload speed to get a torrent started, since my P2P upload gets throttled pretty hard by my ISP, but hopefully someone can do the honours.

Thanks again

Thank you for subbing this :)

I'm having a little trouble getting all of the subs to show up though. For example, when he is talking about the Tulip murders at the start, there's a bit of a gap in the subs when I play the file, yet if I open the subs in notepad, I can see them all written there. I've no knowledge of how soft subs work really, so I was wondering if you might know of any way to fix this?

Hmm, I'm not really sure why it might do that, sorry. I'm not great at the technical side, I just smash it in VLC media player and it never gives me grief. I can only really point to this thread: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_59952.htm but I think you probably have that covered... Sorry I can't help more, anyone else have issues like this?

Thanks anyway. I can't figure out why it's not working at all but seems I'm the only one. Shrugs. I'll just deal with it for that episode lol. Thanks for episode two by the way :)

Thanks for uploading and subbing this! I've been wanting to watch it.

The one thing that gets me, though, is there's a need for some good, old-fashioned punctuation and/or some speaker breaks/colors and such. Might need to get someone to do a QC of each episode before you guys release it. Don't get me wrong, I can read and understand the subs quite easily, but if ya'll go that extra mile, ya'll will get a ton more people visiting d-addicts to get their fix of dramas.

PM me if ya'll would like me to QC or point ya'll in the direction of a few people who might be interested :)
