POWER GAME [Eng Subs] (Ep01-04)

I translated the first episode for fun and I kind of liked it, so I decided to pick it up. I can't guarantee fast releases, because I'll probably have some busy weeks coming up, but I'll try my best!

My native language is neither Japanese nor English, so there might be mistakes or awkward grammar/typo's in the subtitles. So, I'm sorry for that. Also, I hope I used the right terms for the advertising stuff, but if there are any awkward terms in there, then feel free to point them out.

Synopsis can be found HERE
Raws can be found HERE.

(Translation) Notes:
[spoiler]Episode 1:

- Fantasista: The term probably comes from football, where a fantasista is a playmaker, a creative and inspiring player on the team.

- Manjuu: See Wikipedia

Episode 2:

- Mystery Sentai Koraranger: Probably a made-up Super Sentai superhero series.

- Adgibson's catchprase for KI Beaute in Japanese is KI -- Kimaru Itsudemo, KI -- Kirei Itsumademo, which is based on the KI part of the products name.

- Kuroiwa says that the aforementioned catchprase highlights the characteristics of Ki Beaute: burenai and nijimanai. Especially the first one has multiple meanings and Kuroiwa also uses multiple ones. That's why I decided to translate them to 'staying' and 'no running' so Kuroiwa's comments towards the executives would be more obvious. I hope that it makes more sense in English like this.

Episode 3:

Chuuhai: An alcoholic drink with Japanese liquor, carbonated water and lemon.

Paradise Squash: Gokuraku is the term which is used and is the Buddhist paradise.

Binjou-suru: It literally means to ride a boat, but also means to take advantage (in this case freeloading on Touto's entertainment). That's why I translated it as riding on someone else's entertainment, and Kuroiwa's comment as Please let me on board (on the Touto entertainment ship ;) )

Gaganboa: A non-existant African country. The only thing we know about it is that the locals make delicious chicken.

Misora Hibari: (1937-1989) A Japanese enka singer. Kuroiwa performs the song Ringo Oiwake. I guess Phoenix was one of her nicknames.

Oda Nobunaga: (1534-1582) A famous Japanese warlord in the Warring States period.

Sakamoto Ryoma: (1836-1867) A famous samurai. Sakamoto was a prominent figure in the movement to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate and setting the stage for the Meiji Restauration.

Natsume Souseki: (1868-1912) A famous Japanese novelist.

Jugemu: Shirosaki says (according to the Japanese on-screen text) Jugemu (which sounded like Je t'aime). Jugemu is actually a folktale and a famous rakugo story.

Kame: Obviously means turtle in Japanese.

Episode 2 is up! Enjoy! :-)

I guess there's not a lot of people watching this, but I hope everyone is enjoying this nonetheless. I also added some new translation notes for those who are interested.

Thanks for both episodes 3-4. I hope the lack of comments won't discourage/demotivate you.

Subs will be later this week. Classes started again, I had to move because of water damage and such and I have a bunch of insurance things to do, so I'm kind of busy at the moment. I already translated most of the episode, so I hope to have it out soon.
