Are you looking specifically for the English hardsubbed version uploaded by ap? I don't have that one but I do have both the RAW 480x360 that was deleted and the 640x480 version xaxa uploaded to his site. I'm sure you are aware that there are English softsubs by Dustoff available right?

Thank you for the HQ version of SP3. I can now replace my old LQ 320x240 RAW. :salut:

Edit: All three SP's are now available on xaxa's page.

Thanks to both Avallac'h for sharing here and to Saigo_x for the information about the ddls.
I bought a DVD of this special with the intention of sharing but the second .vob file was corrupted so I was missing about 45 minutes. It had English subs but these were also affected by the fault. I spoke to the American suppliers of the disc and all of the copies they had available were similarly flawed.

Does anyone have access to ANY subtitle file in ANY language for this?
I have ropey English subs from my faulty DVD for about two-thirds of it. I could do an English set if only I had anything to go on for the middle 40 minutes or so, even a decent OCR rip of the Korean hardsubs from the other rip that's floating around.

There is a 3 part version of Shomuni Forever on Clubbox that has SMI subtitles.

Thanks. I'll try to download them. But don't you have to be a member at Clubbox?
SMI? Isn't this like an index file which requires you to extract the characters using OCR? I've had no joy using OCR to extract from the hard-subbed version of Shomuni Forever that I have.

Actually, there's Chinese subtitles in SUB+IDX format embedded in this file.
Not sure if it was you, but I remember how I extracted timing from them for someone shortly after I uploaded this rip.
If you still need it, I can extract timing again.

Hi saigo_x

I've only just seen your post, five months later!
Many, many thanks indeed for the Korean subs.

It will take some time, but I will have a crack at translating to English. Update to follow when I have something to report!
Just don't hold your breath!

Thanks again,
Malc

Thanks. I'll need it! :O

Example.....
All three results come from the same phrase.
I have to make sense of this....

1. Google Translate
Ukyo herd
Trying to prepare a gift for a Dora-yaki and Mr. Meadows
Crates Buan Kosian this be good or be good poetry should not set this journal'd

2. Bing Translate
Wu kyou County
A gift for Mr meadows to dora-yaki is going to prepare a
Maybe I should not be Cauchy Truong Buan or will identify the inner workings,

3. Babylon Online Translator
Tokyo, our supporters
Also, the Mets for a gift, the key is to prepare for trying to come
Fujitsu, which implies that it is a good thing for residents to do, or not to give it up; I don't

I've also got a really bad set of English subtitles to help me for the first 20 minutes and again after 72 minutes. I also had the bright idea to use Google to retranslate into Japanese and then from Japanese to English, to see if that helps. I'll be looking at between 4 and 5 different translations of each of the 1600 lines to try and make sense of it all. Phew!

I'll try to do a minute of the special each day at least. That doesn't sound much but it's going to be slow work. Slow and steady is going to be the only way with this one! I hope to finish by February or March. Even then, the translation won't be entirely faithful but it should make the thing watchable for English speakers.

Don't hold your breath! :lol :D

A quick update...
Nearly half-way through. 62 minutes done.
Late January / early February looks achievable.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :alcoholic:

Now.....does anyone have any text based- subs for the first special? I'll have a crack at that one too, if I have something to go on.
