Sousa Chizu no Onna [Eng Subs] (Ep 01) [DROPPED]

Postby onctom » Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:44 pm

English subs for Sousa Chizu no Onna.

Police drama about Kyoto and his Police’s First Investigative Division.
The main character, Tachibana Tamako (Maya Miki), uses her perfect knowledge
of Kyoto to prepare the investigation maps.

Official site :

Note on episode 1 :

Tachibana's boss apparently loving poetry and culture in general, from time to time, uses citations of Japanese poets.
At one moment, he cites a verse by Izumi Shikibu, a Heian period poet.
Being unable to translate this verse, I just put a comment instead of the translation.
I found a translation of a poem by Izumi Shikibu on this page :
It might be the one cited in the drama, as it is about swamps and fireflies as well.

It's no use having 2 versions for a drama that is only watched by a handful of people.

Hi Tai, I didn't want to say that a "handful of people" aren't important. I would have tried to continue the subs for just a handful of people, but doing two versions would have been a waste of time, I think.
