Taira no Kiyomori [Eng Subs] (Ep 1-5 of 50) [DROPPED]

Postby jaboze82 » Fri Feb 10, 2012 1:01 am

Episode 6 approx 75% complete

Apologize for the long delay. Wild roller coaster in our lives here. Big surgery as well has affected the delay. Rare tumors removed... %50 chance it can come back. Have to do another surgery in a couple weeks once the ankle heals and the bone regrows. Team of specialists are discussing this case, maybe... radiation or chemotherapy or a total replacement of joint maybe our next option. Anyways, I believe it is now up to episode 6 as the next one. じゃー、これから頑張ります。

Thank you very much for these subtitles ! My understanding of "bushido no nihongo" is not enough to be able to enjoy this drama without sibtitles :P

Just a question : some characters (like "…" or "~" etc.) are not displayed correctly by Media Playec Classic HC. is there a way to fix this problem other than editing manually the subtitles ?

Thank you

Oh, I have no idea about that. Very first time making subs. Only thing I can do is just from now make sure I don't put those characters in there.

BTW, is everyone really caring about watching the very end of each episodes' little documentary about Taira no Kiyomori? If everyone really really wants to understand those last parts we can continue to translate those, unlike in EP 5.

If anybody wants it, I re-timed episode 5 to the 720p raw uploaded by \( -o _ o- )/. I also translated the travel thing at the end (my Japanese isn't good enough to be able to translate the actual series, but I think I was able to get this at least mostly correct.)

It seems that you haven't waited for the Ryomaden sub yet :lol

The only thing misunderstandable is why sageuk are always translated very fast and not taiga dramas which are of the few japanese production having a consistent budget...

Anyway, we'll wait with the smile :-)

Cause sageuk are shorter (the longest having up to 30-something eps), taeha, on the other hand, is less popular among translators. Look at Queen Insu now, no subs above ep 3.

Just a heads up for anyone in California, apparantly UTB 18.2 have caught up with us and are screening episode 7 with English subtitles tonight (14th April). No idea of quality/accuracy, however thought it might be worth pointing out to anyone with cable...

I am also interested by subtitles for this drama. Altough I can speak and understand japanese, I am far from being able to understand the language used at the era of Taira no kiyomori ^_^

Please :)

The only option now, I believe, is to depend on any kind souls who would do recording and subtitle transcribing from the California TV channel's subtitled broadcast, like what bmwracer and Avallac'h did for GOU last year.
