Copy and paste from other thread
Posted: Fri Nov 05, 2004 1:30 pm Post subject: Did you know...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At newsgroup, abmj, All Toshiie & Matsu DVD (RAW) had been
posted last year. And Ep 01, Dust Off created his sub as
Challenge to "Kiku Sub". (There are no other subs made
by Dust for this title. Ep 01 only)

If you have access to abmj, and ask nicely, possibly
you can get this.
======
If you can watch two side by side ( Kiku vs Dust), you will
see the difference. You be the judge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keal's post is always VCD -Kiku TV capture.

Lost Horizon posted DVD rips in Nov 2003.

I found this in my Agent: I love Agent's ability to keep these posts

Mmmm....
Challenge?
Yes, it shall be a challenge as Kiku had done good jobs.
OK.
I will make Eng sub for Lost Horizon's DVD rip 1 to
challenge Kiku subs. I will try to find time this week.
Dust Off

And then, a day later
READ NFO
1. Very Challenging Task
The Original Video shows many Japanese
Subtitles (Who's Who and places). So
I tried various places for Eng sub positions
not to cover up these Japanese.
This work took more time than
translation.

2. If you have a chance, watch
it side by side with Kiku.
I hope I did not ruin the work...

Anyway, here it goes

And the response from abmj

Unfortunately, Dust had done only Episode 01.

Is there anyway I can get the ENG subs for all 49 episodes, i have the DVD set but I can't really watch it without subs. The DVD comes with Chinese and Japanese subs I can just about read half of the Chinese characters , so I'm guessing for the rest. It'll be great if the eng sub script was available for download in any format.

Your best bet is to get hold of TV captures either
from Kiku version or NHK version.
There is only one separate sub for Episode 01.

You can check if Chinese subtitles are good or not
by watching the same with Dust Off's Eng version
for Episode 01.

What do you mean by TV capture, do you mean download the actual episodes.
Because I have the episodes I just want the scripts srt, ssa, sub, ssa whatever.
I don't think I can stand downloading all 49 episodes when I already have them and at DVD quality. I guess if the sub scripts don't exist and are simply imbedded into the Kiku aired episodes then I have no choice but to watch it with Chinese subs and just guess what's happening.
