Before you ask, have you...

1. You don't read anything?
A - Read NFO

B - Search d-additcs
I had done copy and paste the same section
from NFO so many times, I don't want to
do it again.

The instructions are usually inside the archive in a file with the extension .nfo.

download it
extract the files from the rar archive
use the included sub file or read the nfo for more info (nfo files here should be opened with notepad)
:blink $zipCode = strtoupper($zipCode); // it is not the case of being sensitive... XD

The Gokusen Special that I downloaded from clubbox were devided into 2 parts which couldn't synce with this subtitle. I'd appreciate if someone can advice where I can find the sub for those files.

I've done what instructions on nfo file says and i can see the subtitles at the preview on virtualdub, but the subs are shown on wrong time (i mean, i see the subs on incorrect timing)

What should I do??? Anybody has the subs on a .ssa or .srt format??? (doesnt exist?)
Onegai... I need your help because i love this dorama

I had the same problem. Use the TMPGEnc method for subtitles and it will automatically correct the sync problems.

that's definitely the subs for Gokusen I Special. I like the SRT files better too. Still haven't figured out Gokusen II Special subtitles in RAR but I'll eventually get it. hopefully!

It's just a conversion from SMI

NO. But it is just a conversion from SMI by Dust Off. (All color tags are deleted in the
course of conversion, however.)

nfo is reserved by Microsoft, unless you change its association with notepad.
If you don't know how to associate nfo with notepad, just change nfo to txt
and double click it. A notepad can read it.

(highlight ...nfo in explore and right click to fiind "open with"
and specify notepad as always to open. ) Or get nfo utility such as
DAMN NFO Viewer 2.10.0032.RC3 ( use google to download DAMN_NFO_Viewer_v2-10-0032-RC3.exe) It will change association for you, too.

Is this file supposed to appear with gokesen episode in window media player just like an subtitle? I could read it in notepad but...there is not much of a point if you can't read it with video......?!

why don't you follow information

Postby delsxyz » Wed May 10, 2006 2:20 am

I don't really understand your question.
Why don't you follow information in NFO?

You can read it in Notepad does not mean you really follow instructions
how to use SMI with your video file.

I had a trouble with reading the info in NFO but now it is sorted! I just had to put avi and smi file in the same folder and rename the smi file the same as avi file..... sorry to bother you

then

Postby delsxyz » Thu May 11, 2006 5:44 pm

Then, your problem is over, right? (But you are missing 90% of SMI HTML based
encoding, if you are stuck with SRT.)
Recenltly, Saiyuki or Busu no hitomi... for example, you can find simple srt
and Color coded version. (with the help of VisualSubSync program) which
is doing what SMI can do.

KMPlayer is pretty useful for using subtitles, too.

my computer wouldn't recognize ths SMI files so I had to find a converter but once i found a converter it still wouldn't recognize the file so i had to convert it again and then realized while trying to watch it that it was the same file as i already had for the first gokusen special not the second

I borrowed Gokusen I from a Chinese library on VCD with Chinese hard subs. The subs from this thread don't match, not sure if it's only timing. Are there more than one version of the series? Please advise if there are other subtitles for Gakusen 1.
