wow, this was the first j-drama I've ever watched. I'm total anime otaku though I dont know why I never got into dramas. But MBMH was amazing and I would like to find another drama similar to it. Can anyone recommend a good highschool romantic comedy to me? (other than GTO)

IT's the best, the funniest. I was still laughing after i finished the drama. I loved it. I wish they have more, you know. Like between him the the girl. I like parts when he is a gangster, not so much when he's in school.

Yeah, this drama can still be elaborated / prolonged. I believe, they should at least produce a SP.

As i was reading thru, i noticed that some of you guys like Makky with the Teacher, but why? He looks so much better with Umemura Hikari. He could like protect her and like that and they gonna be hecka sweet together, you know.

So what that they are 10 years apart. My mom and dad is 12. so what? That's what is romantic, Makio knows the age different but he still loves her, and the are just great together, i'm just a little bit disappointed at the end.

It's like seeing Ryo Saeba and Makimura Kaori. 10 years difference. One more instance is my big sister's husband. He is 6 or 7 years older than her, you know.

omg this was hilarious, i marathoned this since it was so good.
This is what got me to download most of Nagase Tomoya dramas i could get my hands on.
Gokusen was good but it started to get repetative even so in Season 2.
GTO imo is still the best out of all of them in this genre.

haha can i be greedy and ask for both?
romance and comedy! more uehara-moeness!
my boss my hero is one of my favourites simply because after every episode, i cant stop smiling and it helps makes your day better : ) only problem is that i watch like 5 eps at a go, which is dangerrrrrrouussss.
i think nagase-san did a wonderful job being makio. i was so surprised that he really is quite old, heh.

Love love love this drama...This is the first time I see Nagase Tomoya..I only heard he is a singer in the boys band "Tokio" and that he is Ayumi Hamasaki's boyfriend and I don't like Tokio's song so i don't like Nagase Tomoya..But!!!When i watched My boss my hero....It is impossible for me to dislike him!!! I love him as an actor but dislike him as a singer.

the first 9 episodes are alright, maybe 7.5 out of 10, but the 10th and last episode makes the drama end on a very high note, 10 out of 10. i liked the scene when the kamada yakuza group came to makki's school and started beating up the school staff, and everyone in 3-A was watching. makki had to either choose to fight to protect his beloved classmates or just continue to watch the fighting to protect his yakuza identity. in the end, makki went in and fought, showing he was not self-centered and he cared about his classmates more then his yakuza identity. i liked how it got dark all of a sudden and it started to rain and everything was going in slow motion with the sad music while he was beating up the kamada yakuza group. perfect scene.

well i have to say i kinda disagree with you because, to me i think the first 9 episodes are really good and funny, the 10th one is funny too, but at the end, i was kinda expected more. so yeah overall it's my best jdrama ever.

I really loved this drama. It's probably my favorite Japanese drama so far. Man, I love humor in my life. I wish there were more dramas like this. Great beginning, great middle, great ending. Quite entertaining indeed.
I love this guy Nagase. Is he in any good dramas like this?

I think Makio adapted too quickly to the school life. I was looking forward to see more comedy about him struggling to adapt.

Nice and entertaining. Too bad the story and character development is not that strong, but, as I'm now going to start episode 9, I can say this is a good series.
Is there something funnier than this?
