Morita Douji
She was 20 years old when a friend's death inspired her first album. All of her albums keep to tragic or morbid themes. She ended her career as musician in 1983, after giving a final concert in Tokyo. During her career as a musician she was exceptionally secretive, she wore a curly-haired wig and sunglasses in order to hide her face.
In the 1993 TV drama Kou Kou Kyoushi (a.k.a. High School Teacher) as well as in the 2003 TV drama Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 (a.k.a. High School Teacher 2003), the song Bokutachi no Shippai from the second album Mother Sky was used as theme song. As a result, the greatest hits album Bokutachi No Shippai was released.

Not many of what I know of. Remember seeing some clips on YouTube a long time ago. Not exactly appearances on TV shows, more like a documentary. Haven't been able to find anything on YouTube now.BoggoSonyeo wrote:Yamasaki had TV appearances Morita had too or hadn't?

Some pics of Morita Doji:
Talking about the covers of Morita album's Keiko maybe you know if they have special meaning or not?
By the way I found an interesting article about Morita http://www.ocada.jp/culture/doji.php

I'm also a big fan of her, a fan of Yamasaki Hako too:)
Some fun fact: I was watching a pinku movie of late 80s and suddenly, the FL started listening to Doji's "Horizon" (or maybe another work). It took me a couple of minutes to believe that I'm hearing Doji-san in a pinku movie:)
