Yes, just as I thought. DBSK comeback is nothing good. I don't even consider 2 guys as DBSK... <_< They could just be YC or CY.

Ok, let's not get into it, they can do whatever they want.

And I kinda like this song... This is some newbie group but I actually like them. And choreography is quite good.

But, again!!!!!!!!!!!

I read few comments and I saw this one -
"see this is true love for the artist the crowd shuts up when they sing"
Love it ;D Yeah, I saw few videos and there people didn't scream and stuff but gently cried, because they were touched.

I read a bit about FTTS(Fly To The Sky) and it turns out there was mental crisis. Brian had inferiority complex because Hwanhee was the one who got the most praise. To be honest, I like Hwanhee and his voice more than Brian and his voice, but if one of them leaves - it's quite worthless. And I think that they are probably the best duet I know in K-music. Their voices mend together so damn good. But the way how Hwanhee holds microphone is just funny, imho.

By the way - does Brian's haircut and earrings remind you of the good old drama My Girl and that guy? He had exactly the same hairstyle and exact same earrings with a cross. Suddenly feeling like watching My Girl again. But ain't got downloaded and got to get over with that MMM crap.

Good Night.

Just drop MMM and get over with it.

And yes, do not start any discussion on DBSK's current name. It's quite pointless, they use it, JYJ guys still feel they are part of DBSK, a very, very sensitive topic. But I do see lots of fans (mostly koreans, I don't go to any site by Cassies or fangirls) calling them HoMin though...

Ok...tell me...whats with the 10+ members for boy bands? :blink I gave up on the boy bands when I was like 12 but then I started to notice all these bands out there with atleast 5 members with them. Im guessing it for show business plus something good to look at for the girls. As long as they have good voices and dances I guess I can live with it. :whistling:

10+ boy bands? There is just one - Super Junior. But I don't know why they make so big groups. I think that 4 or 5 is enough. And it looks much better with 4 or 5 people on stage rather than 13. ;D

I'm watching Music Core now. As always, I want to talk to someone about what I've seen and share my opinions and thoughts.

Have anyone heard of Piggy Dolls? IF you haven't I don't really advise you to check them out. ;D They are 3 chubby girls and if my korean skills are right - they sing about looks and their face etc. I wouldn't mind them to sing, the song isn't that bad but the woman in the middle(the one who doesn't dance) looks just too scary(don't want to use a strong word like ugly). It may be only the glasses and hair but still. On the other hand the rest 2 looks quite good, and one is even kinda cute.

Infinite's comback is quite good but the main singer's(I assume he is, because he has most of lines) face is quite annoying, I just want to punch it, sorry. ;D

Orange Caramel.... just as lovely as always but I think that their legs are just too thin. It may only be the outfits that make them look quite thin, because in after school I didn't really notice it.

Sister... too slutty, a bit disgusting, at least that's what I think.

IU and her screaming male fans. Ok, she is lovely but sorry - I'm going to forward a bit. And what comes next? Secret! Forwarding again.

G H E T T O.... I don't think that GD and TOP has any idea what it originally was.

HoMin. Ok, I'll give them a chance. Sadly I think that I've started to like it a bit. At least a part of it.

It's the end already... muwhahahahahhaha, Secret Garden ep 18 is waitng for me!

I mainly listen to kpop these days, but I've listened to some indie music, too. The thing with Korean indie is that many times it's not that different from what pop is here in the West and not even that good, so I've given up on it. I listen to kpop as a guilty pleasure, so I don't mind that it's pretty shitty most of the time.
My favorite right now is Beast, before I listened some Big Bang, SHINee and Super Junior. I also like Infinite's debut mini album, but the new one (BTD) sounds just weird. GD and T.O.P's album was just baaaaad! Oh god, even the singles were horrid! Taeyang's Solar was good, tho.

I love Korean hip hop. Supreme Team is great, tho I think they were better separately. Simon D is a funny character and I love his Busan dialect! I met him in Seoul once, but he was in a pretty bad mood. But it was 5 am and he was out drinking with F.T. Island's Hongki and the leader guy, so I imagine he wasn't really in the mood for taking pictures and stuff. I got mine, tho! :) E-Sens is my favorite, his Daegu dialect is also hilarious, and he's a bit nerdy, which is my favorite type in guys! :) I also like Dynamic Duo and Artisan Beats & Minos. I usually don't understand half of what they rap about, but Korean just fits rapping really well. The backgrounds are usually more interesting than their western counterparts.

From Korean rock I like Jang Kiha and the Faces, and Hot Potato is pretty good, too. Especially Jang Kiha is absolutely genius! I definitely recommend it!
Jav_sol wrote: There seems to be a double standard in this thread: girl groups = bad, boy groups = good. Frankly, I think both are in the same boats. However, it isn't surprising because women are usually the harshest critics of anything girl groups wear. :roll
Peggy wrote:Now the boy groups are more interesting.
Because you're part of their target audience.
I don't think it's double standards. We just don't belong to their target audience. Why would a 25-year-old woman like me find anything interesting about girls half my age acting cute or, better yet, prancing around wearing practically nothing? Tho, I don't actually think it's just that. I think girl groups are far more restricted than boy groups. They have to appear either sexy or cute in whatever they are doing. Guys can be a bit more freely, talk about watching porn or whatever. I also think many guy groups are a bit more talented than girl groups. Not talking about singing, tho, but other skills. Especially dancing. It might be that guys are just trained to do a wider variety of dances, so who knows, maybe a girl group member could do breakdancing, too, if she tried. Anyway, I guess my point is that I just find guy groups more entertaining than girl groups. They have more variety, whereas girls usually just appear cute or sexy.
I'm not really a friend of overly sexy stuff anyway. I don't enjoy guys ripping their shirts off, and especially the guys in 2PM are total manwhores. :D The thing about sexy girl groups is that many of them are really young, like, underage, so I feel uncomfortable watching them doing sexy dances and wearing hotpants or whatever. I think you can be really sexy without taking it too far.

How can you fast forward IU? :O Maybe if she was in her costume, she'd have your attention. :lol
Piggy Dolls need to change their name. :roll I guess they are a new group.
SSpiegel wrote:Anyway, I guess my point is that I just find guy groups more entertaining than girl groups
I can’t argue with that because you know what you find entertaining and what you don’t. That is something personal. As I wrote before and you mentioned again, it’s a matter of whether or not you’re part of the target audience.
SSpiegel wrote:I also think many guy groups are a bit more talented than girl groups.
Now this statement I won’t agree with and is unfair because you’ll find talent on both sides (girl & boy groups); Whether it’s singing, dancing, etc..
Neliets wrote:10+ boy bands? There is just one - Super Junior. But I don't know why they make so big groups. I think that 4 or 5 is enough.
I've got a couple of reasons. More members means more choices for people to like. But I think the main reason is because nowadays agencies what there artists to not only sing, but also act, MC, do radio. There's less of an impact if a large group is missing one or two members due to filming a drama or whatever. However, if say a trio is missing a couple of members then, of course, it becomes a solo act.

If IU would wear that costume, I'd definitely watch her performances. ;D Now I watch only few, because.

This time I watched most of the IU's performance, and again next was secret... Fast forwarding again and that brings me to T-ara, yey!

Btw, who could guess that T-ara's Jiyeon is 17 years old now? she just doesn't look that young(she looks like all the T-ara girls - around 20).

Fast forwarded 2 of 3 songs DBSK did on inkigayo.

I watched Inkigayo in like 20 minutes, nice.

yeah, sorry, too extreme on my part but you get the concept of what i was trying to say. I too think 4 or 5 is enough...more than enough. It has to do with the publicity and I know when they have a huge group like SJ they like to seperate them by making sub groups which i think is better.

I can't really agree that only Jonghyun can sing from Shinee. Key and Onew have very nice voices too and they know how to use them. I would actually like less Jonghyun in the songs and more the others because Jonghyun's voice is so controlling that it tends to cover other solos. (Same goes for Hwanhee for example.) In my opinion Shinee has some very unique voices that work well together. And not to mention their dancing...

2pm I love for a several reasons. They are so cute and funny at variety shows and good performers at their live conserts. Maybe not all of them are the best singers out there but they work well together as a team. Junsu is an amazing singer, Wooyoung and Junho sing nicely and are amazing dancers, Nickhun and Taecyeon are good rappers and Chansung is a hottie (well ok good dancer ;)). Jaebeom was good at everything but sadly he was removed. I can sense his missing presence. :-(

Other boy bands I like are Super Junior (and sub groups), Big Bang (not their solo projects >.<), Infinite, U-kiss, C.N.Blue and F.T.Island. SS501 is so-so, they have some good songs but mostly they're a bit boring for my taste. For some reason I haven't got in love with DBSK nor Beast... I don't know why I can't get to like them. I guess Beast has too "teen" sound for my taste. DBSK has some catchy songs but somehow easilly forgettable... or maybe I should just listen more of them. ^^

From girl bands I like most Brown Eyed Girls, T-ara, 2NE1 and f(x). Wonder Girls, 4minute and SNSD have some good songs but overall I can't say they're my favorites. For some reason I don't like Kara, After School and Rainbow that much. One thing that I dislike about some girl bands is that they're making albums that have one hit song and rest are just filling. Brown Eyed Girls and T-ara have a lot of good songs and I don't get the same "one hit" feeling from them as for example from SNSD.

What it comes to solo singers I'm not very experienced on them because there are a lot of them so I get confused. ^^ Also, I don't like ballads that much. But some of my favourites are Alex, Rain and Hwayobi. Hwanhee has some good songs too but sometimes he's over doing his singing and sounds just annoying.

Well, I can say Onew has good voice, he does, but I think Jonghyun has better. His voice is powerful, true, (unless he sings like a maid in Hello, i.e), yet I think he can blend quite well in the back-up.
Granted, SHINee are not as good in back-ups and unisono singing as DBSK used to be. True, I like past DBSK much.

I never liked 2PM, Beast, ZE:A or any other whose names I can't even remember. Big Bang has some catchy songs, but in overall I don't quite follow the craze. TOP in my opinion completely can't sing.

As for solo singers, I could go on and on, especially not so called mainstream ones. Tim is nice and started to grow on me, ie.

I guess it's just matter of taste, I like more Onew's voice and when you like DBSK, I like more SHINee and 2pm. :-)

haha, I agree on TOP's singing though. To me it was GD's voice that made me listen Big Bang in the first place. Though I can't say I like his (GD) style on his solo projects. : /

Forgot to add in the previous post that Taemin's (Shinee) singing has improved a lot, I actually like his voice now. He's not baby anymore. ^^

Regarding SHINee, I'm guessing it's a matter of taste. I personally think Onew has the best voice. Jonghyun's voice is more powerful, but not as beautiful and controlled as Onew's. And when Taemin manages to carry a tune, his voice is quite nice, too. All in all, I think SHINee is one of the good ones, when it comes to both singing and dancing. Lucifer was absolutely amazing for a full-length kpop album. I even bought it from Korea, even tho I'm not really into buying cds (I collect vinyls instead).

I was really into Big Bang before, but they've been away for way too long. TOP can't sing, but that's because he's a rapper. I have no idea what he was thinking when he thought singing on the new GDTOP album was anything but a catastrophe. I'll probably check out their actual album, if/when it eventually comes out, but I have to say that I'm probably over them already.

Anyway, when it comes to kpop, I actually like the personalities and the entertainment a lot more than the actual music. I watch a shitload of variety shows, and there's someone I like from pretty much every band there is. I especially love Kwanghee of ZE:A, even tho I have no idea what their music is like. But he's just so outrageous everytime I see him. He has this crazy loud voice and he always talks about his plastic surgeries openly. I doubt they are all really as nice and funny as they seem on-air, but I'm happy to get my entertainment.

Indeed. I just love how different personalities there are in every bands. I also love the fact how cute and innocent all the boy bad members have been in their first variety shows.

I love variety shows too, but, sadly, there aren't that many that are subbed... I watch Oh! My School, used to watch Invincible Youth but it ended, watched Star Golden Bell for more than a year but it ended too, 2 days 1 night, watched some of the old We Got Married episodes. Oh and Happy Together. Those are the subbed ones but w/o subs I only watch Flower Bouquet.

When Infinite made their debut, I didn't like them at all. Anyhow, their comeback is very, very appealing. To be honest, I love the new songs.

But I may sound gay but I'll share my thoughts anyways. I don't know why already in the first performance stood out. But it seems I've seen someone quite similar to him somewhere. In my opinion, as a man, I think this guy looks very, very good. He has loads of charisma and reminds me of someone(still can't remember who) and his voice is good too. Damn, sounds like a boy crush but, sadly, it isn't I'm just admiring guy's looks but I bet he'd give a lot to get body like mine, muwhahahaha. But the main vocalist's face looks a bit awkward, sorry.

The guy who sings first. Starts somewhere in 0:20.

By the way - Secret's comeback and the cute concept is refreshing. I like it but the dance just... suck, sorry.

Jeez, another boy band??

And I don't find it any gay or anything, Neliets. A guy is entitled to say that he likes another guys' features or posture. What's wrong with that? Actors, serious ones, as well as singers, have also guys following them, be it the fashion, behavior or the whole so called "aura". This makes someone a model in a sense.
The same goes for girls following some girls. All watching MGIG had girl-crush on Shin Mina. I admire and respect Kim Hyesu.

For me he looks kinda like SHINee's Key

I just thought... Secret Garden's male lead(I'm bad with names)! Quite similar, I think.

Seungri's solo debut. Huh, songs aren't bad but they don't seem fresh. The beat and music is good and stuff but seems that it very similar to something in the past(many songs). I can't really explain. Maybe because it resembles club music?

I'm watching Inkigayo atm, that's why I'm having so many thoughts.

But how can DBSK, if we can call it like that, win pretty much every award? Ok, if the song would be good like Wrong Number, Rising Sun, Mirotic or something but...? Despite the fact, I'm a bit taken by them, too.

Ok, I'll now go to sleep.

To me it looks like Hoya, but it might be Woohyun, too. It's actually pretty embarrassing that I can't separate the two, since I liked them a lot after their debut. I think Come Back Again was really good and sounded very different from other kpop songs at the time. The dance was absolutely brilliant, too. I liked the first minialbum, that's why I was pretty disappointed with BTD. Haha, we're just the opposite, then! I didn't feel the new song at all, so I haven't tried the other songs either. The leader, Sunggyu, who is also the lead vocal, is a pretty awkward looking guy, but I've always liked him the best. He has a good voice and I like guys who have smiley eyes. My other favorites are Sungyeol and L (who was in Epik High's Run mv!).
I think, in general, that Infinite is good with both singing and dancing, but so is everyone else these days. Everyone seems to come out with more difficult dances and catchier tunes. They have Tablo behind them, so they should use it to their advantage more.

I liked "Hysterie" the most from Evolution. I think I was disapointed too when I heard the album first time but now after listening it for a while I actually like the change from their first album. Now their sound is more matured.

U-kiss' album Break Time is quite good too. I think I liked all of the songs, can't say any favorites. I like how they sound more badass in this album. (Compared to "Not Young" for example :P)

Overall I found 2010 albums very good, got many new favorites. *melts every time listenig SHINee's Electric Heart* Though I think badass style was in fashion last year?

and Neliets nothing bad for admiring other guys... *cough* Shin Min Ah, Yoon Eun Hye *cough* Also, cute korean guys make me wish I was as cute guy. ^^

^^ Cute Korean guys totally make me wish I was a cute Korean guy! Weird to think I'm not the only one who thought that...

I'm not a huge fan of Korean females, but they are pretty gorgeous. Even regular Korean girls are sooo pretty. BEG's Ga-in is absolutely beautiful, Moon Geun Young is cute as a button, and even tho I don't really listen to girl bands, pretty much all of them have beautiful members. There's nothing weird about acknowledging someone's good looks or admiring their charm. Everyone likes beautiful things! :)

Endroine, since I'm in kpop for quite a while now, I can say that most of the debut songs are crappy, so I'm not judging them now.

Teen top - I loved the first song(Clap), but this... concept doesn't make them too good-looking and the song is quite plain, imho.

I haven't seen a regular Korean girl in real life but I've seen few pictures and they are quite pretty and good looking. As for guys - I don't know, they all seem quite similar.

My current listening-all-the-time-songs :

Fly To The Sky - Like A Man | It's just... so... good. I get that shiver-ish feeling almost every time I listen to it. It's just perfect.

K. Will - Dream | This is from A Love To Kill's OST. Gives the same vibe as FTTS - Like A Man, love it. The drama was just as good. Damn, getting shivers again.

Infinite - Before The Dawn | It got me from the first time. The song is indeed good(not catchy but good as in good), the dance is excellent and their performances, too. They are all good-looking. But I don't understand why they are just like 25th position in MB chart? How can possibly Dalshabet, G.na and Might Mouth be better? HOW?

MBLAQ - Stay | This is a very good song, too. I don't understand why it's only 12th?

2AM - This Song | No comments, love this song. But I laughed at fans, when they screamed there "사랑헤요 이창민" ;D

That's about it.

These past few days I've been fighting my computer, had quite a few problems... Wasted many, many hours. And I'm still not sure that I've repaired it.

And I've chosen T-ara - Lies for this evening. ;D That's what I call a decent debut song. And the girls are very pretty ;>

Good songs indeed. From the new stuff, MBLAQ's Stay is actually really nice, I've been listening it too. It doesn't sound as "Rainish" as some/most of their songs. I blame their mentor/teacher for it. Not that I don't like Rain, I do. ^^

My current playlist favourites are mostly electronic...

I just love SHINee's Lucifer album, can't get enough of it. Electric Heart just melts me every time.

I don't like that much of other ZE:A's songs but All Day has a quite nice melody.

Infinite's Hysterie makes me want to dance every time I listen it. ^^ I don't actually understand why they aren't that popular, they have many good songs.

U-Kiss' Light It Up has same "want to dance" effect like Hysterie. Maybe it's just the electric sound that I have been obsessed recently. (well ok, more like last a few years ;))

I was looking for something new to listen last week and found 2NISE. Thier voices are quite nice. I like the featuring rapper in She Said. The MV is a bit creepy though.

Edit: also Big Bang's new songs sound good, made me realize I missed them. :)

Oh wow, Hysteria was, at the least, surprising! I honestly hadn't listened to any of the new songs, because I didn't like BTD. Hysterie is pretty good. I wanna go and disco dance now, haha!

I've been listening to Korean hip hop like crazy these days.

Jay Park is coming out with a new album this spring. And he is to die for!

Jay Park's friends are also awesome. Korean-American Dumbfoundead and "Different galaxies ft. Sam Ock":

Everything that comes from The Quiett is awesome, but I've been listening to his new album the most. Be My Luv Remix is better than the original, but the original is pretty damn good, too!

Unsurprisingly, I didn't care for the new Big Bang songs. I guess my love for these guys is soooo over.

I`m watching Mcountdown and Music bank now. You know what that means, right? Some more comments about kpop.

Let's start with Dalmatian. Their song isn't bad. But sadly they aren't even good looking, except one, maybe 2 guys... They give a wannabe feeling. 2 guys try to look like Taeyang, one like Nikhun or smth... Ah...

I've heard One Way's song quite a few times but I'm starting to like it, to be honest.

That Lee Jung guy is not bad, his performance is quite good, actually, the songs too. But Idon't like his voice.

G.NA... Very pretty, cute and all but, sorry, the song sucks.

Jewelry - nothing worth watching. Ok, you may watch, but no matter what happens don't listen.

5Dools debut... I guess you can call it like that, even though 3 girls are from that Co-ed. But what happend? Co-ed disbanded or something? Anyhow, the song is cheerful and so on, it's good, but not my taste(both).

Witch Girl or something by someone. Damn, aren't she promoting her song for too long time now? I think the was singing that stupid song like 2 months ago.

Migthy Mouth - what can I say? Those two guys are just annoying, but the girl is quite cute and lovely, even her voice. The song is considerable when she sings her part. Those two guys just scream random **** out of their mouth.

And... Shin Min Ah in LG X Note CF. Damn, I'd even buy that laptop ;D

At least M!C's top had MBLAQ 2nd. Sadly, some wierd people made G.NA win.

Now it's Music Bank's turn. Damn, I hate baros releases. Darn bad quality picture.

And first to perform? My lovely trot girls - LPG. I their fan every since I started to watch Flower Bouquet. Their song is quite good and a bit funny, too. And even though they are not girls but more like women, they still are quite cute and pretty. And they sing well.

Coin Jackson. I bet they would be pretty, if someone would dress them normally and make a decent hairstyle. Let's not get into the details of the song - crap.

Teen Top - I think I mentioned it somewhere earlier that I'm very disappointed in this song. No need to go further.

Navi - sings well. Nothing more to mention.

Kan MiYeon from Baby VOX(if i`m not wrong). Song is not good... her face is pretty but I'm not a fan of very thin girls, though.

SNSD - Hoot... still in top10? Seriously, who still listens to that...

Gahi's solo debut - they overdid everything. Starting from the club-like music to choreography.

Dalshabet - Supa dupa diivaaa! I can just laugh at these girls. Song, as I already said some time ago, is crap but they are cute and lovely.

Secret... and Teen Top? They looked quite cozy.

IU again? A ballad this time? Her hair is quite bad. As for song - it lacks the feeling. She sings it well and all but it really lacks the feeling. December knows how to sing with a feeling, she should pay a visit to them. Or Hwanhee, Brian or few others.

Nothing new with DBSK, it makes me sad.

When I think of G.NA, I think of that 2PM music video. :roll

Her performance reminded me of BoA's last round of performances.

I watched some of the Music Bank's performances the other day and wasn't very impressed.
Neliets wrote:5Dools debut... I guess you can call it like that, even though 3 girls are from that Co-ed. But what happend? Co-ed disbanded or something? Anyhow, the song is cheerful and so on, it's good, but not my taste(both).
I think 5 dolls is a sub group of Co-Ed School, they just added 5th member. What it comes for their debut... I didn't like it at all, song was boring and singing wasn't that impressing either. Also, what was their stylist thinking, their cloths looked more like pyjamas. >.< One of them looked like an old woman in teen cloths/pyjama... Anyway, I liked more Co-Ed School's "Too Late" than this.

Dalmatian's stylist was probably missing too... leoprint and strange print shirts? But the song was ok and the singing as well. Though, it was a bit boring performance.

Teen Top's "Supa Luv A-Rex Remix" sounded a bit better than "Supa Luv" but still, their singing... The dancing was ok, I liked it but singing was mostly just talking, rapping or squicking because the boy who was supposed to sing the high vocals, his voice didn't make it. Anyway the song wasn't that interesting either.

Coin Jackson's debut "Feedback" was just horrible. I don't know if any of the girls can sing properly... I didn't mind their clothing, I think the sucking singing and bad song took more my attention.

Secret's "Shy Boy" was like a candy explosion and apparently people liked it. To me it was a bit meh. It was too cute.

Dal Shabet's "Supa Dupa Diva" oh come on, what's wrong with using normal song names?? Once again stupid song name (like Supa Luv) and the actual song wasn't any better. And the bunny ears... : / I guess the song wasn't cute enough so they added them.

Kahi's debut... I don't know, the song sounded just ordinal club mix.

Kan Mi Youn's “Paparazzi” sounded and looked just cheap Son Dambi version.

and apologies if I was too rash, I know some of them were just debuting so they will probably do better in future. ^^

Ironic... today my portable mp3 player decided to corrupt all songs except all of DBSK's and one ZE:A's song. So I listened DBSK for 4h. I wonder if my mp3 player is a DBSK fan. :lol I've gotta say their songs sound so much better when played alone and not among other bands' songs. (I usually have suffle on)

Maybe I should do same with 2AM as I love their singing and some of their songs but as I don't like ballads that much and I keep skipping their songs when suffle is on.

I have shuffle on always, too. I mostly listen to songs that I've recently copied on my phone, there are a few songs that I listen to all the time, even though I like them for quite a long time. But pretty much every song gives off a different feeling and is needed in different situations, that's why I have quite a lot of songs in my phone. You just suddenly feel like listening to 2NE1, for example. Simply pick a song and be happy. ;D

Recently I started to learn Korean more seriously. Grammar is not as hard as I thoughtt(of course I am even below beginner), but, even though I know quite a lot of words from dramas and such, I mostly feel the lack of word knowledge. If you know words, then you should be able to understand and translate quite soon. I still have many unclear things but I have a great support - my sister's friend is Korean(her major is English, so we don't have any problems communicating) and she helps me when I have something unclear. But that's another topic, so if anyone is interested in how what why and so on, then post in Korean learning topic.

Alexander and Kibum are leaving U-KISS :-( one month before comeback...

Apparently Kibum was just a bait to get more attention for U-KISS because of his brother. (Kim Hyung Joon from SS501) Kibum explains his leaving here. Can I strangle someone?? As much as Kibum "was lacking" something I don't like the idea just removing him. Why did they took him in in the first place if he was lacking something? To benefit from connection to SS501? And now that he's no use anymore they're removing him. : / After watching so many variety shows with U-KISS it will be strange without Xander and Kibum. Even though they aren't my favourite members, this sucks.

I hope the trainees they were talking about will be worth all this.

Man, that sucks! I mean, I'm not a fan, there's maybe two songs I've ever heard, but it still sucks! Even tho I don't totally love everyone in Beast, I'd be crushed if someone was taken off or replaced. Especially in Kibum's case, it really does sound like they just used him. :(

Yup, removing/replacing members is never fun if the group already has it's fan base. From my favourite groups first 2PM and now U-KISS... I just pray SHINee stays together. >.<

Anyway, to more happier news... Big Bang's new mini-album got released.
I really like "Hands Up" and "Somebody to Love" after listening the Japanise versions a few times. The korean version doesn't seem to differ that much. From the new songs "Tonight" sounds really good too. I actually like the calm feeling of this album.

No, I meant Beast, as a personal example. I'm not an U-Kiss fan, but I can empathize, cause I'd feel really sucky if Beast lost a member. You don't have to love all the members to feel like they are the best combination as they are. In general, I feel really strange about adding/changing members, like they've done with After School or T-ara. I understand if someone wants to get out of their contract because of personal reasons or injury or whatever, but it doesn't really sound fair that the company just wants to change members and thus chucks out the "weakest link". :(

T-ara... you mentioned it and I suddenly felt like watching T-ara - Lies a few times(performances and MV).

Out of nowhere, I came to conclusion, that December is the new idol wave Fly To The Sky. Seriously. I can find many similarities. December is focusing on singing, as you may already know, so was FTTS(after leaving SME, because they wanted to focus on singing not other stuff). 2 guys, both sing very, very well but one stands out more. Ahh. I wish December would be more popular, though. They can beat most of idols in many ways. I blame that they don't have catchy songs, they have good songs.

I'll give you both live songs. Damn, I listened to December like 7 times already ;D

December - Learned my lesson in love

Fly To The Sky - Like a man

And Kibum was kicked out, not left. ;D

SS501 - Love Ya. Brings back the memories of summer(events in life and such, not kpop-ish memories, I ove it when music does that)....

Good night.

EDIT :
I got this link somewhere, can't remember where.

Does anyone know a site or something where I could get a remix`ed(club) kpop music?

It's just not something you're accustomed to with Korean pop groups. For example, with groups like Morning Musume or AKB48 members come and go all the time. In Fact, didn't Pledis say from the beginning that After School would follow a "graduation" model similar to Morning Musume?

Well, After School and T-ara were the first ones to spring to my mind, and I'm not a fan of either one, so I wouldn't know. I don't really listen to Japanese pop, but I do know Momusu and AKB48, and how they shuffle their members all the time. I wonder what those girls do after their graduation... Anyway, I doubt it's always that easy to change things around. There are always disappointed fanboys/girls that are sad to see their favorites go.
I guess, for me, the members make the band. Even with western bands, if there's maybe one or two members left from the originals, I sometimes wonder if I can really think of it as the same band. I'm pretty sure I could get over a member-change in my favorites, too, unless it was my bias, but it would probably take some time. But in cases like these.. well, it's just a superdouchy move on the company's end. Why take someone from the start if he was "lacking"? And making someone end their contract... :( Training and working hard for many years, and then just ending up kicked out. Last few years have been dark for kpop anyway...

I am not sure of my facts here but bear with me.

JYJ..There is a very big effort going on by fans to sign and send a petition again to the Korean courts to help JYJ in their fight against their former agent. I think you can find the details on the webstie for Hotelier 2000 or is it 2002. anyway they really want as many names as possible because when they had a petition before it did have a strong effect on the decision of the court to stop the former agent from blocking things that JYJ could do.

I am sorry to be so vague but I am having trouble with my Win7 right now. Please do a search in order to help JYJ gain their professional freedom.

Yesterday I watched M! Countown and Music Bank. I didn't even know that MBLAQ will be promoting a new song(I didn't even know they have new songs) but first time when I heard "Again", I loved it. I feel(and hope) that this song will be quite popular. It have a very good rhythm and balance. It just sounds good.

I'm guessing those ex-member, if they choose to stay in the entertainment business, become actresses or tv hosts. I don't really listen to Japanese pop music either, but I know Morning Musume & AKB48 continue to be some of the most successful artists. I guess my point is, I wouldn't be surprised if Korean companies begin to copy this successful business model.

Thanks.

But Big Bang's Tonight is just very, very good. I love that song. Same goes for MBLAQ's Again. I'm sad that MBLAQ won't have a chance to get Mutizens now, since Big Bang will promote their song and I think we all know who will get all of them.

This is a good song, no doubt. From Dream High OST(not the stupid Dream High song, but Winter Child).

But when I first heard this song, I though - I have heard this song somewhere. Or something similar. I don't know - Latvian or English.

I have only finished 6 episodes of Resurrection and it it marvelous! Just... like The Devil, Bad Guy etc, all that good stuff. ;D

I came to like the OST, too. I love it already. Mostly the chorus. I don't know why. Try to listen to the whole song.

But... I'm watching Inkigayo and I thought again - yeah, you can totally see that MBLAQ was/is trained by Rain. G.O's random screaming at the end - Rain does the same. And I hate it. This proves that everyone has a flaw.

I'm getting old or what - I can watch a music program in just 20 minutes(or even less). :s

UI's song - just a sad song w/o any feeling what so ever.

Gahui's solo - crap.

Big Bang - skipped the first 2 songs... Tonight is a good song, though. TOP is a crappy dancer or just lazy. I liked the part where G-D smashes the guitar, that seems... a little bit original and it just feels right ;D I'm not that happy that they are winning every mutizen. I want MBLAQ to have one for Again, too. But now it is impossible.

Guess what I just did? I had a taste of Soju! It tastes a bit like vodka at first but then it has a very, very sweet after-taste. 20.1% alcohol. I just love it ;D

Didnt feel like watching a drama today....thats how tired I was. Unbelievable...I know so I went searching on YT and decided to check up on whats new with Big Bang. Now someone tell me this, HOW COME I FORGOT ABOUT THEIR NEW ALBUM. Big Bang was my first Kpop band I fell in love with! Im crazy  I LOVED their performance practice. TaeYang can really dance. Love him! I'm not too sure about the blonde thing going on with TOP and GDragon but love their new songs. Daesung and Seungri grew up to become two very good looking men.

Since I am kinda new to the Korean music...only because I dont make time for it which I hate, I was checking on the idols. (More music and MVs available on YT because they are idols). I saw some 2AM videos and Im starting to become a fan. I know its kinda old but I like the I was wrong song. Nice beat. Im a sucker when It comes to the beat.

@Chaos and Ethlenn: Please dont hurt me but tomorrow im going to check out DBSK. Truth is I know who they are but I have never heard a single song from them. So I have something to look forward to tomorrow when I get out of work. :O
