How do you convert smi. files into srt. files?

How do you convert smi. files into srt. files?

I have a sub file thats smi. but i want to change it to a srt. file.
how do you do that? :-(

That's not what i meantt. o_o
like.
smi and srt are different types of files. for example like wmv. files and avi. files are different.
but i want to to change smi. to srt.

Oh...well it's just my guess. I don't know what type of file a .smi is.

subtitle workshop allows you to save just about any sub format into another one...
i know it does tend to do things like turn comments into dialogue, etc...
it's ok to use though if you're just trying to watch a vid with softsubs i guess...

when you installed vobsub it comes with a program called subresync... with subresync change the smi file to srt....

=/ i think this was answered in the faq... oh well
