Post by SunStar » May 21st, '07, 05:41

With [Oum Ruk] being subbed in d-addicts, I want to start sharing my Thai lakorns that I have. Hopefully, it will help lead to more lakorns being subbed.

....will reupload a bunch when spring break comes!!!!....03/13/2008

SunStar, it's really nice of you to share, but how long does sendspace last? since this is a torrent site, i'm wondering if you should just upload these to our tracker?

He didn't upload to the tracker because they're Thai dramas. The tracker only handles Japanese, Korean and Chinese influenced (Singapore, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, China) shows.

^ That's not true.
The tracker is for asian televisions shows, not limited to just Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. We already have at least one Thai drama uploaded as well as a Filipino, Malaysian, and I think there was a Vietnamese drama at one point. They fall under the "other" heading.

Edit: although with the current number of ppl actively downloading and seeding Thai dramas, it might be easier to manage using direct download links... :/
At least until the popularity picks up some...:)

I'm a great fan of thai dramas. I don't know they are just different and you never get tired of them. It would be so great if a lot of teams were set up to sub thai dramas. I think I'm most interested in Talad Num Dum Nuen Rak or maybe one of the hystorical ones would be even better.

It's great that someone is spreading the awareness of thai dramas :-)

for now, i think i will keep it in sendspace.... my sendspace account is paid for and will be active for a long time...

however, i will certainly think about uploading it onto the tracker... thanks for the tip!

i hope you guys don't mind me sharing more Thai dramas/series onto d-addicts?

cuz i would really like to get a frenzy started for Thai lakorns... and hopefully, have a permanent subbing team for Thai lakorns on d-addicts...

the links are all working fine...i just double check it....are you sure it's not your internet or broswer or something?

in sendspace, if you do not have an account, you will have to wait until there is an opening or download one link at a time or have a limit on how much you download...

Thank you so much for Saphai Jao!

Post by booklovers » Jun 9th, '07, 12:42

SunStar, u don't know how much it means to me to upload Saphai Jao! It was aired when i'm not in Thailand and I was dying to see it because someone posted it on pantip.com and it's really look like a good lakorn.

I'v been searching for this lakorn for a long time. actually i found some website selling this but its reputation is not good , so i don't dare to order from them.

by the way, can I suggest something ? the name of Krun Krai should spell as Kun Krai or Khun Krai. Also that Kamolchanok's nickname should spell Kwang, not Kang.

I'm trying to sub เจ๊ดันฉันรักเธอ (Je Dun Chan Rak Ter), i did the subbing for the 1st ep myself and now i'm so busy with other stuff (school, college apps etc.), so.. i'm good with translating but timing really takes a lot of time so i'm not able to continue the subbing for the next episodes T^T.. i'll try to upload the episodes, in case somebody wants to sub it.

hi there, i was hoping you could help

Post by myjello22 » Aug 22nd, '07, 03:44

hi. so i was recently in thailand spending a few weeks there doing some volunteer work. everytime i stayed in a hotel i would watch this thai drama that would be on late at night, from around 10 pm to 11 pm - something like that. it was really interesting. it was about a girl and a guy, of course. i can't describe it overly much since i only saw a few episodes (and being an english speaking person without subtitles i had to make up what was going on for the plot line). i remember that he owned a flower shop and she worked for a tv/advertisement (?) firm. one of the episodes involved his friend thinking her husband or boyfriend was cheating on her, so she convinced the male lead to help her follow her husband/boyfriend and the male lead ended up following him to the female lead's apartment ?? i think the male lead was married but his wife died ... does any of this sound familiar? the flower shop seemed somewhat important to the story. please help!!! ... oh. i have one more drama i'd like to ask about. i'm hoping you know the titles! the second drama included her falling in love with this guy, but he becomes blind in the middle of their romance? the episode that i remember seeing of this drama included her using a mechanical toy car to bring him a message and he follows it to a tree with cups hanging from the branches. ?? please help!! thank you for anything you can do. i know i'm giving you somewhat vague descriptions. if you recognize the dramas / lacorns i'd greatly appreciate a title.

I think I know what lakorn you're talking about, the one with the flower shop. but..it might not be.

ruk kong nai dorkmai starring sornram theppitak and janie
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnJH5Qtf_lE

sornram owns a flower corporation and has a shop in janie's building. he pretends to be a regular employee when he tries to get janie to fall for him and not his money. the two knew each other when they were kids but the don't know it. back then i think she gave him a flower.?.i can't remember...he asked her for her name and when she responded, the car horn beeped so he never found out her name. so he's been hold out for his Miss Beep, until he met Janie's character.

what other lakorns do you have. currently i am learning thai on this program that i bought recently. and now that college had started, i don't have any time. plus on the other side, i am taking chinese in college. and i am also learning other language too. i am planning to take japanese after i have learned chinese. and when i transfer i am planning to take korean and thai if they offer courses. i took french for 3 years in high school already. i don't remember much french because there was no other courses to take except for spanish or italin. i can't for me to transfer to a school where i can take a thai language class.

I've never heard about thai lakorns until last week, when I saw the summary of "Chain of Love". It seems interesting so whenever I have time, i'll watch it. :)

Oum Ruk (Chain of Love)

Here's the link to download the episodes with english subs: LINK
Summary:
(credits: chinkymovies.blogspot.com)

Napat (Anne Thongprasom) is a beautiful but head-strong young lady. Against her father's wishes to come and live with him in the States, Napat decided to stay back in Thailand and earn her way through modelling.

During Napat's first magazine photo-shoot, she met a fast-mouthed photographer, Chen (Ken Theeradeth), who predicted that she will never be famous in the industry. However, despite Chen's "prediction", Napat turned out to be a huge success, with everyone in the business wanting to work with her.

Napat's lucky streak came to a halt when she bumped into Chen for the second time, while at a beach-side anniversary party for a famous magazine. Due to a drinking competition during the party, both Chen and Napat got badly drunk and ended up in bed together. It wasn't long before Napat realizes that she was pregnant. However, rumour has it that Chen is currently dating Jasmin (Thook), one of Napat's biggest rival in the modeling world. Will Napat decide to confront Chen (whom she absolutely loath!) on the pregnancy or will she keep the secret to herself?

Ah, I see you at SW. Too bad, the quality isn't that great since I'm such a HQ addict myself. XD; Beside it's nice to know that you share it with everyone and it would be so nice to have someone subbing it as well. ^_^ I have a lot of ThDrama DVDs but too lazy to rip. And I hate SendSpace, their downloading is so slow. :glare: But it's not like I plan to watch it anyways. Yup, I already lost a liking of it for a while.

I know another lakorn that is related to flower shop. It's Whaen Dokmai or Flower Ring with Saharat (Kong) and Rujira (Khem). Probably it's this one you're talking about? It started airing in July 2007.

another great lakorn that just finish airing is 4 Huajai Haeng Koon Kao. in my opinion, this is a must see. This is Ch.3's biggest project as a Ch.3 40 years celebration. It's a lakorn serie consisting of 4 separate but intertwining lakorns: "Thara Himalai", "Duangjai Akkanee", "Pathapee Leh Ruk", "Wayupak Montra". It's based from a serie of 4 books by the same name. This lakorn serie uses the same casts for all 4 lakorns

all credits goes to asianfuse.net (used to be call SarnWorld)
u can find more info. @ http://wiki.asianfuse.net/index.php?tit ... g_Koon_Kao

the vdo can be found on wishboniko channel at youtube
thara himalai ep.1 eng sub
duangai akkanee ep.1 eng subhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jElqJzYOb6Y&fea ... playnext=1
pathapee leh ruk ep.1 eng sub
wayupak montra ep.1 eng sub [url]

i already watch this and i think it's the best thai drama of 2010. it'll be great if someone can upload this on d-addicts.
