First time in the history! Russian drama with ENG subtitles

Post by olessia80 » May 3rd, '13, 10:14

Being located on both continents - Europe and Asia, Russia is undoubtedly another one participants in Asian drama fever. Having a huge local viewership Russia doesn't export its dramas abroad, resulting in the fact that many TV and drama masterworks remain not translated into English and totally unknown to the foreigners.
For the first time in the history Russian drama fans decided to translate a 16-episodes drama "A Tricky Flight", a smart and easy-going drama to give it a second life outside Russia!
Coming soon!

What do you think about this project?

I'm sure it's great but somehow I don't think you can upload Russian dramas here.

Well, the moderators will need to approve. But geographically Russia is half-Asiatic, so otherwise that would be a "discrimination" :-)

For the next projects do you think this should be dramas with romance or action?

I will make an educated guess and say these shows are probably filmed in the part of Russia that is in Europe, so I'm not sure that they should qualify.

No, since this is an aviation drama, the most part is filmed inside the plane + in different location of Russia (Asiatic parts) + episodes shooted in Asian countries.
However, let's all believe the whole drama will be approved by the moderators!

In Russia, they love actor Stephen Segal very much, and you Knew that his daughter is Japanese and her name is Ayako Fuzhitan.
She is a very talented and beautiful actress!
