Spring Waltz R1 from YA Entertainment

Post by HD69 » Apr 19th, '07, 01:01

Purchased the YA. Entertainment Spring Waltz R1 dvd box set from China Town.

The Positives:
1. Screen Format: Widescreen 16:9 (Anamorphic)
2. Extras: Subtitle
2A. Behind the Scenes
2B. Cast & Crew Interviews

The Negatives: And this is a Big Negative.
1. Every episode (20) has been edited (missing scenes).
There are almost 3 hours of video that is missing from this
drama.

I could not return this box set to the place I purchased it.
If you also purchased this drama from YA. Entertainment
and you fell ripped off as I do.

Please contact :Katie Flanagan, Marketing Coordinator at katie.flanagan@yaentertainment.com.

You can also visit visit www.yaentertainment.com. and make
a complaint by clicking on About/Contact.

I don't have Tom Larsens email address. If you have it please post
it here. I am not sure what good this will do since both Tom and
Katie refuse to answers emails about Spring Waltz dvd box set.

Do you see any pattern to the missing scenes? What exactly are they cutting out?!

The YA Entertainment Spring Waltz has many missing scenes in each episode. If you read the message over at Hawaii K-Drama Fans Forum. The person gave a difference of each episode length from the YA
Ent version and the version that was on KBS2 and looks like was posted here before YA Ent had them removed from this site.

From the link:

"the way the episode 3 ends on the dvd set is the Korean boy and girl are grown up and the guy is playing the piano and there is a huge applause. Then you see a older girl sitting at the bottom of these elegant stairs. So this is the end of the 3rd episode on the DVD box set from YA. You do not see this scene until the 23rd minute mark of the 4th episode of the HD Ripped episode that has been fan subbed."

Also from the that link episode 3 from YA Spring Waltz there are at least 2 scenes missing that last about 15 minutes.

Disappointing! I was really hoping to get this copy, but now I won't ever buy it. I wonder why they cut it like they did. Sheesh.
