Japan
  • Taiga drama (大河ドラマ, Taiga dorama, "Big River Drama") is the name NHK gives to the annual, year-long historical fiction television series it broadcasts in Japan. en.wikipedia
  • Jidaigeki period drama en.wikipedia
Korea
  • Sageuk refers specifically to Korean historical drama
    • Goguryeo 37 BC–668 AD
    • Goryeo 918–1392
    • Joseon 1392–1897
China

Taiwan
