beginning of this year [2012] my first drama was "winter sonata", which i loved! <3
then i started watching "Stairway to Heaven" but by the 4th episode i had to stop cuz i thought id drown in tears :S i just couldnt take it! so i decided i'd leave this one for some other day!

"city hunter" was the next one and one of my absolutely favorites followed by "boys over flowers" <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 and then shinning inheritance which i thought was good... and now i just dont know what to watch... ive started TONS of dramas and i havent really got into any of them as much as the ones i've just quoted :S

i started watching 49 days... spring waltz, dong yi... personal taste (because of lee min ho :  )
secret garden and some others.. but there is no comparison! i guess i'll keep going, maybe something good will happen and ill fall in love with these dramas too!

maybe i should just start watching "a love to kill" (i hear ppl love it?) or
"ïm sorry, i love you" ????

im open to suggestions!

For me first of all was a Kdrama, Winter Sonata. I think I watched it 4-5 years ago and that time I loved it very much. I was amazed by the Asian style. However if I watched it once again now, probably I would say so-so.

At Jdramas I started with Maou. I really didn't like that. For a long time I didn't dare to watch Jdramas because of it. I thought they were just not for me, but it wasn't true at all. I like many many of them.

At TWdramas my very first one was Hana Kimi. I didn't like Ella, but I said the drama was not bad. Nowadays my absolute favourite dramas are all TWdramas (although I mainly watch Kdramas).

A friend of mine really, really liked Japanese dramas and, on the spur of a moment, a few friends and I decided to watch a drama with her. She chose to watch My Boss My Hero and we just marathoned it that night. The show was incredibly fun, but at the same time unusually engaging. Such a great show!

now that you mention this question. I guess my first J-drama was Hanazaraki no Kimitachi. It was a really good story line and most importantly 'genji' ( aka oguri shun from Crow Zero) was casted in the series. Then it was Gokusen.

My first drama was Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, which I was able to watch waaaaaay back in 1998 on NHK but it was raw. Even though I didn't understand a single word they said, I still enjoyed the drama. After that, I didn't watch any more dramas until late 2003 & it just all snowballed from there. That's when I became additcted to J-dramas!:alcoholic: And...now....I think I'm getting into K-dramas too.

The very first Kdrama I saw was: My Girl. This was such a refreshing show to see. It's very enjoyable and such a breath of fresh air. I love the comedic interactions between the fake cousins. Both Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae gave a phenomenal job in this. I highly recommend it.

The very first KDrama that I watched was Winter Sonata. All thanks to my auntie. She was really into it so she bought the DVD. Since that time I was still a student with limited budget I borrowed hers and BAM! I got sucked into this KDrama thing :w00t: For Jdrama, the first I watched was Hana Yori Dango. I was on my way back from college with a classmate and out of nowhere he recommended me the drama. He said it was great. I first doubt it but since I'm too curious I ended up downloading it and I got hooked immediately! :thumright:

The first Jdrama I remember watching was Hitotsu Yane no Shita (took a bit of Google-fu to find the name). It was dubbed and shown on TV only once a week (just like Japan haha). My mum was the "original" drama addict who got me hooked on Jdramas. Ah, nostalgia~ :tv:

J-Movie : Hate to admit but the first one was Ju-on: The Grudge:sweat: (never image there are lots of famous actor/actresses like Ito Misaki, Ichikawa Yui, Yoji Tanaka, etc), second one was Wasabi
-- after watching wasabi, become fans of Ryoko-chan  then try to find her dramas more

J-Drama : Dekichatta Kekkon
-- then hack Google (just kidding :P) to find older dramas in Ryoko's blossoming age (20s) and fall in love with jdrama since then :lol

T-Drama : Meteor Garden

T-Movie : Secret (不能说的秘密)

K-Drama : Glass Slippers
-- watched this before knowing J-Drama/J-Movie cause my mom watched this series.

K-Movie : can't remember the title, but the story about a boy who has illness (going to die soon) meet a man who just got out from jail and that man told the boy, there are dolphins in certain areas and that boy is crying want to go there no matter what, see it with his own eyes.

My first J-drama was Oshin. I watched it when I was like 4 or 5 years old so I don't really remember anything about it. This drama was a huge success in my country so everybody knew about it.

My first K-drama was First love (starring Bae Yong Joon). It's the highest rating K-drama ever (more than 70%) so there's no wonder that it was so popular all over Asia.

My first C-drama was Journey to the West (西游记). Every kid in my country loved it. For the last 20 years they have been rebroadcasting this drama for like 100 times in my country.

I'm not sure it was the very first Japanese drama I watched, but "Konna Koi no Hanashi" was the first one I watched (in 1998, when you could still watch subtitled Japanese dorama on broadcast TV in the Bay Area) and thought, "Wow, this is actually pretty good." And I thought Matsushima Nanako was one of the prettiest actresses I had ever seen.
