Matsuyuki Yasuko

Post by 20centuryboy » Jul 19th, '10, 07:03

Since she doesn't have any thread...

a specialist of depressing/depressed characters. Now in her late 30's she's still one of the japanese public's favorite as well as a sponsors favorite.

One of the most interesting nose in japan ( strange shape).

Something I found out sometime ago about her is that despite her demure appearance and the way she carries herself, she was quite the outgoing and adventurous person during her youth.
As she revealed in a guest appearance on 5LDK that she did quite a bit of scuba-diving(+license ownership) when she was 20, skydiving at 23 and bought herself a Harley when she was 27 (and she rode it with a group of other bikers).
Shiina Kippei even commented how she carries a huge (duffle?)bag over her shoulders to the set of Yomei, which was unexpected of his image of her.

While she's great in that department, I think she doesn't disappoint when it comes to other roles.
So far I've seen her bossy in Nanisama, First Kiss and Hula Girls, seductive in Monday, and obscene-crazy in Detroit Metal City (though she wasn't particularly proud for her role in that movie).
I can't remember how she was like in Suna no Utsuwa and Yogisha X no Kenshin, but I'm looking forward to check out Yomei, Kira Kira Hikaru and especially Mayonaka no Ame.

Haha, it took awhile for me to get used to it too. I think she must be really confident about herself (and looks) to leave it alone as it is.

I know the movies Detroit Metal City and Hula Girl, but did not recognize her in Mother.

Luckily for us.

Nanisama is one of my all time favourite ( I really like Kishitani Goro too).

Nice! New Matsuyuki drama!
Hmm, interesting that this drama will fill up FujiTV's new drama timeslot at 9pm on Sundays, FWIW.
And will have bad girl Aibu Saki co-starring too.

Who's this Miura Yutaro btw? There's no info of him on any wiki site yet he's gonna co-star alongside with Matsuyuki. :blink

Edit:
Ahh okay, after doing a quick search, I found out that this fella is currently the lead vocals of this band called Peaky SALT. But more importantly, he's also the son of Miura Tomokazu.
Guess that's where he got his "quick access pass" from.
