i have been thinking where have i seen that kid from? Lolz.. it was tego! i can't believe it was tego. hahaha... and nagase simply rocks!
i kept laughing my ass out with his antics. the whole time i've been watching it, i kept thinking...
"how could a 27 year old man be such an idiot?!?"
but then again Makio's character worked on me. i love his bakaness and the
"enjoy youthfulness!" if only i could go back in highschool and have fun like what he's doing. i'd probably do it again! ^_^v of course minus the exams. hahaha... love this show!!!

Well Makio is the best friggin Yakuza i seen, since in gokusen dorama. I don't know what to say about MAkio, only that his way to describe thing is somewhat childish(dwarf pounding his heart and stuff) and his shock-reaction facial expression, just make me laugh so hard. So far im up to Episode 8. Can't wait for the 2 more epi.

I looooooved this drama so much! It had everything you need. Tons of comedy, but enough not to be annoying, romance, but not enough to kill the plot, and even it's sad parts, to bring it back to some-sort of reality, and have his character develop and evolve. I still laugh to myself all the time. It's hillarious, I can't wait to see it again. I mean, makes you sympathize with Yakuza! Hahaha
Han ya?
Okay...and the Agnes Exercises??

I just finished the series and loved it. Sometimes the wackiness of Japanese comedies is a bit too over the top for me, but I didn't mind it in this one at all. The contrast of the dark organized crime against light-hearted high school was done quite well. Nagase Tomoya is SUCH a cartoon! His facial expressions remind me of Jim Carey. Just one thing... The wiki says that he's over 6' tall and weighs 140 lb. I have trouble buying that.
I loved how he'd stutter over some word and then the other person would repeat the stutter.
"I've been thinking about a g-g-g-g-girl."
"Really? What g-g-g-g-girl?"
It also cracked me up how he imagined his father walking down the school hallway to the three person meeting.
However, what is it about Japanese high school dramas/comedies that they feel compelled to have personalized tearful goodbyes between the main character and EVERY other freakin' member of the cast at the end of the series? It was pretty bad in Seito Shokun and mind-numbingly painful in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. Once I recognized what they were doing at the end of MBMH, I skipped past it.

Hmm you know I think a sequel to this series would actually work..perhaps showing after Hikaru graduates and how Sakaki is doing as a yakazu boss.
I thought the chemistry/awkwardness between Aragaki and Nagase Tomoyo was great lol
Just rewatched the series yesterday and realized how much I missed the actors together =(

Wondering why there isn't any special for this drama. It is so freaking hilarious. All the other teen dramas got their specials but not this. I really miss the trio ... no whole class together. I didn't know any of the actors before watching this, but right now I'm a big fan of Nagase Tomoya, Aragaki Yui and Tegoshi.
Hmm, since this is a remake of a Korean movie which already came out with a part 2. There should also be a S2 for this drama. I guess I'm merely hoping.

I was halfway through this drama when I realized I could watch no further while that little moon-faced cake boy kept following Nagase Tomoya around, saying "Mucky... Mucky..." (jeez, say his name right, you fairy shrimp). So unless Koki's character stiffs him anytime soon, I doubt I'll have the forbearance to finish the damn show. Too bad, because Nagase Tomoya is the Sexiest Man Alive Who Isn't KimuTaku. Hot stuff. Rrrowwwwrrrr.

Your lost, the show gets better the 2nd half. One of the better Jdorama out there .Ender's Girl wrote:I was halfway through this drama when I realized I could watch no further while that little moon-faced cake boy kept following Nagase Tomoya around, saying "Mucky... That was one drama that got me hooked on Tomoya Nagase for over two years obsessively and madly. I think i must have seen about 5-6 times. i usually don't dig comedy shows and don't like silly faces made by characters to make audience laugh. but MBMH managed to keep me glued to my screen and even making me love its serious part more. PLUS, who can resist HOT makky.Gekokujou wrote:Likewise, you could say this was the Jdrama that made me addicted to Jdramas in general.
I just rewatched it and I was laughing so hard I had to review it!

Re: [Discussion] My Boss My Hero
The first part of the first episode got my interested. Dumb characters are often amusing. Reminded me of Groo the Wanderer.
Not exactly eager to see each next episode like a few other series I had to binge watch.

Omg, one of the best laughs I had was while watching this series. It became widespread to my colleagues as well, so now, our whole team has already watched this series. lol! Got hooked with Tomoya Nagase but then, some of his series did not interest me at all so I had to stop. But this one is a 10/10!!!!
