Just wanna say a big thank you to Chuks for the translation, furransu for providing the RAWS for us and rest of the team involved in making the soft subs a reality. I began watching the RAWs awhile back and recently just downloaded the subs and marathon from ep06 onwards, and the subs does everything much more clearly understood and enjoyable. Thanks once again for subbing this show us, Chuks and everyone involved.

No-one should miss this show, it's actually also quite a surprise to me that TV Tokyo could get a bunch of staffs to make a drama like this, as I do rate its production value much higher than some other teacher-student related shows like Seito Shokun!, GTO etc that I have watched before.

Having Problem with English Subs

Postby Lunzo » Mon Sep 24, 2012 4:45 am

I'm having problems with the English subs. When I load them into VLC (ver. 2.0.3 Twoflower (Intel 64bit)) small boxes with an "A" character in it show up as text. Then there's an occasional English sentence a few times throughout the episode. I'm using a Macbook with OSX 10.8.2 operating system. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think, vlc don't recognize the character set encoding of the subs. But I have not clue about the settings of Mac OSX.

There are different possible ways to handle such problem.
1) Tell VLC what coding to use (some where in the optins/setting)
2) open the file in a text editor and save it with known coding (UTF-8?)
3) open the file in subtitleeditor and save again with given character set coding

Thank you for the tips! I tried as you said but i probably did something wrong. I ended up finding an update to VLC: vlc-2.0.4-osx64.dmg for the Macbook. When I performed a check for updates on my version of VLC it said there wasn't one available but when I checked in the VLC forum there was an updated version available for download. http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php ... 85#p350549
