This is ridiculous, this is like anime/kdrama speed subs haha. I had to marathon the show to catch up. Excellent quality to the subs, too. Loving the show so far, I really love this series!

lol...yes, I'm getting my sleep and even eating. I just have a lot of time on hand right now, and it's actually easier to sub the whole series at once. Thanks for your comments. They keep me motivated.

Anyway, here's episode 8 for your enjoyment.

I almost never post twice, but you, are, awesome! Thank you so much for coming out with the subs so quickly! I was a bit hesitant about this at first, because I found the first season boring. But this second season, I cant stop watching it! I have no idea whether it's because the first season was a different story in every episode or not, but I love this one main underlying story in the second season. Definitely intriguing enough to keep me glued.

Thanks for deciding to pick this up even after the season has ended!

Well, Namonaki Doku wasn't exactly a different story every episode. It was based on two different novels, so there were two different stories, the first one from eps 1-5, the second one from 6-11. Personally, I thought the first story was just ok and the second story was great.

But yeah, Petero is top-tier and the better show overall. Perhaps because they've devoted all 11 episodes to exploring every aspect of this particular story, as you said. Impressive ensemble cast as well.

Ahhhh. I see. I didnt bother keeping Namonaki after I finished watching it. It felt like there were quite a few stories from what I remember.
The bus hijack is definitely full of twists, but for now, I'm more interested in the relationship between Hashimoto and Nahoko. :lol
It's also really heartwarming seeing how the relationship between Sugimoto and his father-in-law is progressing.
Better stop before it becomes a discussion instead. xD

All the subs previously were perfectly timed for the 480 ver, but it's a little off somewhere in the middle for ep 8. I've changed the timing, but it's still slightly off for a small chunk by the milliseconds. Shouldnt be a problem anyhow.

Everytime I come back here, there's a new sub posted lol wat wat. Thanks again.

I'm also liking this better than the first series (although I liked the first 2 story arcs as well). The character development is much stronger in this, with both realistic and non-stereotypical character development. Besides the first episode, this has stayed away from big shocker moments, yet I'm constantly anticipating what's going to happen next and how everything will (or won't) tie together.

I'm a fan of Kotaro Koizumi, but truthfully he's never been in anything I'd consider memorable. I'm happy he got the chance to do this. Hopefully there are more books to the series.

Damn, that was a good run. As hateful as Ide-san's character was, the acting was fantastic. Also really like the character Hashimoto and the actor portraying it.

Was just wondering, is there a difference between using san and shi? What's the difference? From what I can guess, it's just a thing of where the user comes from?

Also, a re-timed 480 version for the last episode.

Thanks again, subie06!

"Shi" is a more formal say of saying "san". From Wikipedia:

Shi (氏 【し】is used in formal writing, and sometimes in very formal speech, for referring to a person who is unfamiliar to the speaker, typically a person known through publications whom the speaker has never actually met. For example, the shi title is common in the speech of newsreaders. It is preferred in legal documents, academic journals, and certain other formal written styles.

Thank you for finishing this series in record time and with such high quality! My favorite drama of the year :)

Spoiler for ending:
I watched the finale on Sunday but I was just kinda...thinking about it. Man, that ending bummed me out even though it wasn't supposed to be haha. I guess I just wanted everything to work out for Sugimura because he's the epitome of a good guy. As far as the To Be Continued, there were several years in between the writing of the first and second novel, so the third series might be a while yet (2nd book was released 2006, Petero no Souretsu book was only released Dec 2013).
