The only period drama I've consistently watched. I would love love love to sub this just so it gives me an excuse to improve my Chinese much more and get to watch it
Also I freaking love their winter outfits in season 4.

A common term used in the historical/wuxia dramas is 江湖 (jiang1 hu2). What is a suitable word to describe this? From what I've seen the word in context, it's used to describe a world in which contain people who fight/swordsmanship/power in general. iris, in singapore it is subbed to pugilistic worl...

I love love love their behind the scenes clips! They've got such random clips of Ella and Wu Zun being mean to each other xD I once thought that in S.H.E, one of the other girls would go on and do something more than singing, I didn't ever think it would be Ella, but her personality is so hilarious!

The leads are Jesse Bradford and Elisha Cuthbert. Even though I think she's really gorgeous, that's not all that holds up a movie xD I found My Sassy girl a really great movie, I don't think the remake is going to cut it for me >.<

eh the CHARACTER could be pronounced as either wei2 (or wei3.. always mix those two up) or wei4.. but when picking up the phone, i've never ever heard of anyone saying wei4. Definition of 唯, from a pinyin dictionary online say it can be wěi = yes or wéi = only; alone as in 唯一 No, people don't often...

Yup, I do. In mandarin, it's wei3. The character for it is 唯 in both simplified and traditional form. The cantonese also use the same character when picking up phones, except they pronounce it as wai2. Do the Japanese say 'moshi moshi' if they were for instance in a seemingly abandoned house? Cause...

but does anyone think... Tokyo Tower is s symbol of dream for non-Tokyo people coming to Tokyo, just like how the golden gate bridge is a symbol of dream for Asian immigrants coming to America? They're both red/orange, they're both famous, and they're both visible. The tokyo tower was built in the ...

[Discussion] Tokyo Tower (2007)
I didn't see this discussion in the list of threads, so I hope it's okay to open one. Quite a touching drama, the end of the episodes makes me teary, on how much the mother is willing to sacrifice for the son. Sometimes it's a little hard to watch, because I could never imagine a son doing that, i.e...

I think this season has given some great dramas. Not that I truly dislike this series or wouldn't keep watching, but it's not one on the top of my list. It's just darn depressing watching her walk into so many disasters. Although, I think the younger actress playing the main character's younger self...

A really awesome first episode. This season of JDrama is excellent, I have nothing to compare it with, but I haven't found anything that I wouldn't continue watching in this season. xD At first, I got turned off by the historical setting of the drama, I can't say I've watched many dramas set around ...

[Discussion] Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta!
Just watched the first episode. Really liking this comedy, traditional Japan and modern Japan together xD Rather funny to see the actor of the father, who once played a mean old yakuza boss not even being able to say anything but "hm".

This is actually my first JDrama in a long time, as a JDrama newbie, I think it's pretty decent. Nagasawa Magami is absolute cuteness <3! I also adore the guy who plays Sakuma. Lots of sugar-coating of violence, not actually *much* violence. A lot of emphasis on emotion, and loss of family, which ma...

Re: Fansub?
16 pages to go through is quite a lot, so I thought I would ask; Has anyone mentioned if this series is going to be fansubbed? Is there a lot of demand for English subs? There seems to be plenty of fans of the show. About the show itself xD I find it sort of cheesy, but very much LOL entertainment ...
