Do DVD rips burned on DVD-Rs work?

My friend sent me a rip of her DVDs, and everything from the DVD was as it was, including the .vob format, the naming of the files etc. So, I was wondering, if I burned all of those data straight into a DVD-R, without using Nero or any program similar to that, would the resulting burned disc play like a normal DVD on a DVD player? Big Smile

And, would it be regionless?

As .vob files? No. You'll need to burn it with a special program. Look into ImgBurn. It will do everything you need.
