For me, personally, it depends on their profit margin. If they're only making minimum wage equivalent by distributing the subs, then I'm fine with it, because honestly, some people really can't download dramas and it's much easier to have somebody download/burn/email it to them in the mail. It'd be like how charity organizations are allowed to hire employees to do the work.

However, if the person is making a ton of money from it, I would protest. (And that is the thing I have against CR, because they are obvious trying to do a lot more than coming out even.)

oh ye...i definitely agree with this one!!!!! one example is the drama "which star are you from"... i really liked that drama so i dL it myself and burnt it on dvd and stuffs... ~ then i went to sleep over at a friends house, and she was talkin bout her sister buying her drama DVDs from asia and stuff, and one of them was "which star", and we watched it(i watched it again..lol..), and while i was watching it, i had the weirdest feeling like the translations were all too perfect for a bootleg copy!!!! ¬_¬" the lines sounded all too familiar(iv watched the drama 5x already at that time)...so when i got home..i checked my dvd, and guess wut i found?! it was exactly the same!!!!! w/o the credit subs ofcourse... Suprise Suprise Suprise Suprise

wit regards to the VERY ever first post w/c is kinda old, that website is still up and running...idk if any1 shud do anything about it...cos seriously, its the fansubbers who always get into trouble even when its someone else who makes profit off our work... but then again, its not exactly like we're entirely legal are we? we're walkin a fine line between what's legal and not..but i guess we're the lesser of two evils..

*sigh* You guys are doing it all wrong.

You need to protect your work by hiring a clan of ninjas.

I seen this happen before that anime but one thing I saw is that fabsubbing always seem to put there logo and website name in the movie itself. At the same time put credits during the movie. It makkes it harder for them to steal when buyers find out it was bootleg

Most of this is labeled as fansub. As lot of people also knows, if this guy is not doing it for profit, but solely for distribution (even tho I found DVD price redictlously expensive), then I say this guy is not really doing much illegal stuff.
It's like anime fansub distribution. Rare thing nowdays, but some people doesn't have access to downloading such huge files like us, or doesn't even have PC. Or even older times, where fansub groups subbed it, and distributed it for dollar or so to replace the tapes they recoreded it off of. That much is legal under Unwritten Fansub Edict.

I think this person is gaining some money from this, though, personally. 6 dollars per DVD? What in the world.......

WhoIS IDENT result. (Shows who owns the website/server. <3) Do what you guys want. As fellow fansub lover and subber, though, if it's really profit-intended, this site must be eradicated.

Wow.. people who sell other others works it's disgusting.. and furthermore.. things like that end in dramas being licensed and in jeopardizing the subbers' work.. ahh.. Mad
