| Hi Ruroshin, unfortunately, my ip address changes everytime I log in so I still can't get into the website from home. The only part of my ip address that stays constant is the first 5 digits. Any idea on how I can use that ip address you lifted for me so I can access the site? Thanks.

You can't. The IP changing constantly means your ISP issues you an IP using what is called DHCP (simply, dynamic IP.) In order to get the same IP address again and again, you would have to call your ISP and have them assign you a static IP address. More likely you'll have to pay a few more dollars every month for the static address.
On the other hand, if Ruroshin were to modify the block, it would make D-Addicts less secure. You're basically using the wrong ISP; I would assume Ruroshin has written to them complaining about the attacks. If your ISP can't control its users, then you should consider changing ISPs.

| The attackers might be bored by now so I may consider lifting the ban. I was going to move server sometime this month so I will lift the ban then.

| Thanks Ruroshin and Groink. Guess there's nothing I can do till the ban is lifted cause I'm locked in a year contract with SBC DSL so I can't switch provider. Comcast cable is just so expensive (around $40 month vs. $19.99 a month) *sigh*. Just out of curosity, what does everyone else use?

At home, I use Time-Warner, although I don't BT from home. Interesting enough, one of my company's partners is a reseller for clearwire, which is a wireless broadband network. They gave me a modem to use... Through benchmark testing, I'm right now getting 1.3mbit down and 250kbit up, with 100-percent signal strength. Our engineer mentioned he figured out a way to boost BT download speeds. So even though clearwire isn't as fast as wired broadband, it is an alternative.

| hi.. i have the same problem.. i cannot access d-addicts.. is it because i got banned... when i try to access it.. it says request timed out.. is there any problem with my connection?? i am using time warner cable and my ip is 192.168.0.2

That's your local network IP.
We need to know what your public IP is.
Try clicking here to find your actual IP address and post the results. Then we can figure out what might be the problem.

^ From your traceroute result (and a look at the banlist), it doesn't look like it's D-addicts.
You should contact your ISP about it. If you still have problems, please try posting in the Tech Support Forum for more help.

| I had the same problem also. Been trying to access d-addicts for the past 3 days and finally was able to today. My IP address is 65.32.231.89. I got the same error 'request timed out'.
