| HOLY CRAP...u guys are so damb lucky man...my only wish is to visit JAPAN, i seriously wanna go, so badly, but no way in hell would my father who doesn't even let me go to the store with my best friend, ever let me visit Japan, by myself, my father wants to go but he says we need more money since it very expensive.....i get really mad when people say, "why do u wanna go to Japan", or do u know that many people say Japan is baised and racisit...." i hate hearing that ****..i want to punch someone when they say it, i always say, "SO WHAT! who gives a ****....Japan is not the only country in the world who's baised and racisist, countries like ours (U.S) and European countries are the same, even worse....!" I just hate it when people make assumptions sbout a place they never visited.....I don't care if Japan is baised, i still want to go, because i can tell it's an aswome place and seems very safe and has nice people....I love a country where u can walk around and feel safe without thinking, OMG is someone following me, or beeing so scared to walk somewhere alone at night...and i know Japan is not a perfect place and has some violence, but i know that the violence is never compared to the violence in U.S and Europe.......I live in the U.S i know what i am talking about, at night i get freaked out to even go outside, and my father is always checking if the windows and doors are compeletly shut and locked and he even in the middle of the night looks out the windows, to see if anything seems weird or suspicious. last week cops in the middle of the night caught a van will criminals in our parking lot...so for once i wanna travel to a place were this kind of stuff is not a normal daily occurance...if get wut i mean...

You ridicule others about making assumptions about countries or places they have never been to, however you do the exact same thing in your post.
While statistically Japan may have low levels of crime(There are reasons why a lot of crime is not reported), such violence exists in all countries and such security checks similar to the one your father does, are done by many families in Japan as well.
Human nature is human nature, and location does not change that.
Besides the thought of Japan being an dreamy Anime castle in the sky, many people tend to believe that there is nothing wrong with the country, but nothing is flawless..
Please try to stay low on the hypocrisy.

Ah, the Golden thingamy, we didn't go there. Our Goodwill Guide said that it and the Silver one were a favourite with the furriners, so we went to the ones which had more signifiance to the locals. We went to a really really long wooden temple (Sanjusan) and a large one with masses of wooden supports (Kiyomizudera). They were certainly alot less shiny!
In just over 3 weeks I took 1,700 photos which didn't get culled and my brother 2,700, though that was a bit excessive. Still, I've learned that if in doubt take a photo, or else you'll regret it and won't be able to do anything about it.

I lived 5 minutes from Arashiyama for about 2 years... Man your ass must have hurt after going down the Hozu River. It's still a loooooong ride.

Sorry, if you misuderstood me....I never said or believe that Japan is perfect and I know it's not, however i know it is safer than the U.S. Every country has it's flaws and Japan is like any other country, they have there good and bad, however i like Japan, so I would like to visit. I never made assumptions about everyone, but mostly everyone whom i have talked with have said the same thing about Japan being biased, adn I am just saying every where is baised. I would be a hypracrit, if i said Every country is biased, but not Japan, also I never said Japan is a "dreamy anime castle in the sky"...LOL my first time hearing that phrase. The reality is everywhere has crime, however some countries have lower crime rate than others and i was just trying to say that Japan is one of those countries. I pretty sure u know Japan has a lower crime rate compared to the U.S. And mostly everyone else does too. I am not being an hypocrit. I am just stating my opinion. I know what violence is...I come from a country where violence is every day life.....SO sorry that u believe i am being an hyprocrit....
