Newsgroups - Who uses them?

Hey,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I was wondering how many d-addicts members use newsgroups. I was thinking of posting some dramas on newsgroups but wasn't sure if the demand was there.
I know a.b.korea does have regular postings of new dramas but they're always incomplete and they don't ever seem to include PAR files with their uploads so it's impossible to reconstruct any missing parts.

^ thanks. hmm people haven't posted there for though. I guess I shouldn't proceed with my plan then. I was going to upload a few dramas (including the lobbyist) with PARS on a.b.korea (cuz the uploaders there refuse to upload pars for some reason).
I guess I'll do it later when newsgroups become more popular within the community Tongue

there are several lurkers here that use newsgroups, as i mentioned.

but before you go ahead and upload something in a channel/thread that they are not uploading, you may want to check on WHY they're not uploading. you don't want to get yourself in trouble.

any reason you don't want to upload those dramas here as a torrent?

Well most of these episodes are already uploaded here as torrents. Why I'm not volunteering to seed them, though, is because my ISP throttles my BT upload speed to around 5k/s! Imagine how long it takes me to get something upto 1.0 ratio Sad

The thing is, because of my throttling situation, I'd rather download dramas from newsgroups but it seems most of the newsgroup uploaders refuse to put up PARs so I'm usually stuck with incomplete files *sigh*
