I use Philips DVP series DVD players. They have an old one and a new one and both work well. It depends on how much you want to spend. Here are the links:

Look up the info for it online. Just google in Philips DVP 642 or 5140. It will play all region DVD's and .srt files also. Good Luck!


oooop, i just notcied my question is off topic in here, i am so sorry. i got to this thread from googling my question.
but thanks for your advice though. sorry to bother you again, but could you tell me what specification of any dvdplayer i have to look for to make sure that it plays the subtitles files and vid file? in any dvd player.

hi! i'm a newbie here... salut
i have some question and i really hope that you guys can bear with it... Unsure
i like this drama so much and i've watch it first on mysoju 3 times before downloaded it from many different site...but i realised that for episode 2,there are a few parts where it is not being translated after i downloaded it.
then i saw the srt file for episode 2-DVD revised (on page 1), i realised that the part that i'm missing are being translated.
the only problem is i don't know where i can find the raw that using that srt file.can anyone help me please..... Crying

Softsubbed videos are when the video file and the subtiles are seperate. Your video player has to load the subtitles and put them on top of the video for it to work (like on a DVD player or Satbox)

Hardsubbed videos have been edited so that the subtitles are "burned" on top of the video so that you cannot turn them off. However this also means that the viewer doesn't have to download asian language support files or load the subtitles themselves (also prevents out of syncing on slower machines)

I know it's been awhile but does anyone want to share episodes 2, 16-18 hardsubbed with MU? I've looked everywhere and all the links are expired... =(

I would if I could but I live on a college campus and the only way I can download without getting caught is through direct downloading. They specifically pointed out torrents are a big no-no. ^^;
