Yeah ... I just read this at asianfanatics ... sooo glad that Kame is starring in a new drama!!! Hopefully it'll be a good one.

Somehow I can't really picture Kame as a boxer, his body doesn't look built enough to be a boxer ... but we'll see maybe he'll transform to a hot boxer!! Laugh

I read about this at kat-tunlove. lol i don't know how i'll feel about him corrupting a nun. hm..he must really like being a boxer. I hope he gains some weight filming this. I read the character likes to eat Smile

Yes, this is based on a manga by Takahashi Rumiko who also did Ranma 1/2. It was actually translated into English a long time ago as One Pound Gospel. There was an anime OAV adaptation of this manga as well. And the 4th volume of the manga finally came out after 15 years of hiatus. Tongue

I think Kame was quite good as a boxer in Dream Boys, so he should have no problems playing on in the drama series.
There are different weight classes.

Actuall its not the first time we see Kame acting as a boxer: In Dream Boys 2005 he acted as a one. Mr. Green

And Kame not only played a boxer in Dream Boys 2005, but also in 2004, 2006 and 2007. And after he finishes this drama he will play in Dream Boys 2008 (in March) again, so I think he has quite some experience with that.

And i agree with you about Kame as a boxeur. I guess that's the main reason he was chosen to act in this dorama.
