STORMY team sub is currently in need of experienced timers, typesetter and encoders.

We mainly sub random variety show episodes and talk shows,

Timer
# voice timing (obviously)
# experienced enough to know how to time neatly and how to use Actor column properly

Typesetter
# knowledge of at least basic typesetting - font colours, \fad, \pos, \move, \bord...
# we have a detailed typesetting tutorial, but knowing \t, drawings (\p), \blur etc is more than welcome

Encoder
# Knowing what encoding is about, not just sticking subs to video with random settings
# We mainly release XviD avi. Sometimes x264 avi and sometimes, though seldom, XviD mkv.

All applicants need to take a test before becoming a part of the team.

If you're interested, PM sungie (aka i heart aiba), visit our LJ or check the forum.

STORMY team sub is a fansub that working on Arashi-related videos (dramas, variety shows, etc).

http://fansub.d-addicts.com/STORMY_team

Currently we're in great need of someone who's very fluent in Japanese and English, to help editing / spot translating. Basically we have some translations that needed to be checked first, because there are some parts that probably have mistakes / missing translations since the translator is not 100% understand all the parts from the video. The problem is that we lack of expert translator that can check and filled all of those gaps, so we're in great need of someone who can understand those parts.

If you are someone who's fluent in both Japanese and English and don't have much time to translate, I hope you can help us by becoming spot translator / editor. It should take less time than fully translating everything right?

We would also welcome anyone who likes to translate for us. Smile

*pokes*

Currently we're in need of (spot) translator for Marathon and Minami-kun no Koibito

Info on Marathon: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Marathon
Info on Minami-kun no Koibito: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Minami-kun_no_Koibito

For Marathon, translations have been done around 70%. But the translations needs checking and completion, there are spots untranslated and there might be some parts that aren't perfect So I hope someone who's more fluent in both Japanese and English can help us completing them. I think it takes lesser time compared to translating from scratch.

As for Minami-kun no Koibito, so far we have finished 2 episodes. For episode 3 and forth, just like Marathon we need someone fluent in both Japanese and English to help translating some spots and fix mistakes.

We'll credit properly and all. Smile
