Usenet / Newsgroup Access in Korea

Hi,

Quite a few Korean dramas are uploaded on alt.binaries.korea on a regular basis. Unfortuntately, most of the uploads are incomplete and without par files attached for repair purposes.

Just wondering if there are any Korean users in this forum who access Usenet/Newsgroup through a Korean ISP (e.g. Kornet / Hananet etc)?

Curious to find out why
(i) Uploaders never provide any par files along with their posts?
(ii) High rate of incomplete postings in alt.binaries.korea?

Would greatly aprpeciate if someone could help to enlighten me Cool

It could be that the retention level is great at their news providers, thereby "assuming" that everything worked out great. It is basically all about caring for your uploads. IMO, leaving out things like PARs, CRC files, etc. leaves a negative impression on the part of the uploader. When uploading to unstable environments like usenet, it should be assumed that there will be problems, and therefore make the effort in placing in these extras.

That's basically it in a nutshell.
