We're currently subbing "Ang Tanging Ina", although the movie, not the TV series. I only sub dramas that are available online.

Many new fil-dramas are available at IPmart forums, but they were already so far off, we're gonna have trouble downloading the first ones right now (they're torrents, so it needs to be seeded.) It just so happened that Marimar started just now, so I can follow through the series (and download them faster because they're still "hot").

Plus, I like Marian Rivera. Wub

Actually that was one of the main reasons that inspired me to start subbing. I read at asianfanatics.net before about a Malaysian who really loved Fil dramas but got frustrated because she couldn't understand and had to painstakingly go through some of our English words to understand them.

Another would be hopefully for our dramas to get known in this arena... who knows we might start the Pinoy wave for dramas, similar to the K-wave? Roll Eyes (asa!)

Just a question though ccdj.... how did you get that "FANSUBBER" icon on your avatar?

Well, maybe we can find someone who posted the files at IPmart. I'm sure there's someone out there who still has the raws intact. I saw an english subbed episode of encantadia at youtube so there's someone out there who ripped the series from tv.

Re the legal stuff, no need to get squeamish, we'll figure something out.

As for ccdj's fansubber icon... you earn it. You can read up on it under the Fansubbing section- "Oy Calling All fansubbers thread". They have rules before they award you with one (like you should have participated in subbing a whole series, etc). There's been some discussion on who's entitled to have one so they suspended awarding it till they iron out the rules.

P.S. Any thoughts on changing the title thread to Noypi?

alam nyo naisip ko lang baka may raw files ng mga fantaserye or teleserye sa quiapo or divisoria. baka lang. just maybe. all you have to do is go there and ask those people there who sell pirated cds if they have what you need. the last time kc i went in divisoria i saw there that they are selling wowowee and episodes of imbestigador and other tv shows, maybe there's someone there who have recorded shows from phil television dba... baka lang, i'm just telling you guys what i'm thinking, this might help or not, hehe Smile

Hahahaha matagal pa nga talaga. Don't worry, the banner may be some kind of quasi-status symbol but it's not that important when you look at the big picture. Actually magugulat ka kung gaano ka-controversial at issue-riddled ang pamimigay nito. As for the release of MariMar, masmaganda yung huwag natin madaliin and focus on quality kasi mdyo malupit ang mga tao dito (although hindi obvious). I can tell you about it some time. Wink
