I just had to post some pics of Watabe Atsuro .... (If there is anyone out there that can update the pic on the wiki ... ? well unless you love the pic on the wiki but he looks so scary in it ....)

I was shocked when I saw him in Koda Kumi's Yume no Uta/Futari De PVs. He looked amazing! And I was so impressed with Koda-san's choice of him as the love interest in her videos. She could have easily gone some model guy or some Johnny's type (sorry, I know those boys are cute but that's what they are ... boys) but she picked Watabe-san instead. Totally a smart smart move on her part. He's just getting better-looking and his face has more character every year .. And they totally have chemistry ... I love watching those PVs.

He kind of reminds me of Ethan Hawke. I liked him in Keizoku, the only series I've seen of his so far.

If you prefer another picture for his DramaWiki profile, I can update it for you. Just choose one of good quality with a nice, clear shot of his face, no logo from another site, and preferably as himself (vs. a role in some drama or other production).

man who would have thought finding a good picture (non-character) would be so hard. this is one I found off his official website. the photographer is Shibata Mitsuyuki-san. i dont know, it's not quite one of those forward facing shots so maybe this won't be good for the wiki. but i like the pic Tongue

I just changed it to the picture you found. You were right his old picture was VERY SCARY, I actually laughed out loud when I saw it Laugh

. Anyways I think Watabe is one of the better actors currently in Japan, I have only seen a few of his dramas but he is always believable in the variety of roles he has chosen.

i'm glad that the pic worked out.

there is something so authentic/genuine? about this guy and the characters he plays. i loved him in Koi ga Shitai X3. i guess he does some darker roles too but i haven't had the chance to see them yet.

Is this really Watabi Atsuro?? The actor who was in Hojo Tokimune and also in Beautiful Life.... I think he is the best actor to watch in different roles. However I do not recognise him in these photos. Odd.
