Vobsub doesn't seem to work on Vista. I installed it but the subs don't play. Do I need to config something or is there another program I can dl?

VobSub 2.23 installs and works fine on Windows Vista. Check to make sure your subtitle file (such as .srt files) are named exactly the same as the corresponding AVI file and both are in the same folder.
Other methods to display subs: use a sub-aware media player like Media Player Classic or VLC Media Player (both are excellent freeware players).
FFDShow (a codec package) also has a subtitle filter.
