Hi,
I looked through 15 pages and can't seem to find anything like this topic. I don't really have much knowledge about Chinese/Hong Kong cinema, beside the Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Stephen Chow stuff. So what films do you reccomend, I'm open to anything. Thanks. salut Big Smile

For Hong Kong films, Rob-B-Hood staring Jackie Chan and Louis Koo
I loved that movie <3

I never was an action fan but I really liked Dog Bite Dog too, staring Edison Chen and Sam Lee.
I thought the movie was really meaningful.

I still have yet to watch A Melody Looking staring those Amusic people.

Men Suddenly In Black

It's unique and funny.

-Edit-
Oh, I forgot to mention the Infernal Affairs trilogy and Running out of Time. These are really great movies.

IMO, most of the recent high-profile films are CRAP. That includes The Banquet and Curse of the Golden Flower. Even though I'm a huge fan of Initial D manga/anime, the live-action movie sucks. I'm glad no one mentioned it. Roll Eyes

I really enjoyed watching Stephen Fung's "Enter the Phoenix" movie. I think he directs better than his acting or singing for that fact. Now I just gotta see some of his magic tricks. Laugh Anyway, it's a fun comedy and stars Daniel Wu! Tongue

Some of the movies I have seen (both China and Hong Kong) are:

-Together
(He Ni Zai Yi Qi - ?????) : one of the best movies I've ever seen. Its musically based - about a young boy who plays the violin.
-Infernal Affairs I, II and III (???)
-Love on a Diet (I thought it was funny, but I'm not a fan of Andy Lau)
-House of Flying Daggers

I really recommend the first and second ones on the list.
