no idea which torrents you're talking about, but I've uploaded and downloaded hundreds if not thousands of torrents here with utorrent and never had your problem.
here's a freebie: set up seperate folders for downloading and completed files and set the option to move your completed files to your completed folder. Easy. _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

Thank you for the freebie, I too have downloaded hundreds, if not thousands of torrents; just not from this site.
I have set up seperate folders for downloading and completed files and have set the option to move completed files to completed folder. The problem I have only exist if I want to seed, if my intention is to download only, there is no problem. The series I started to download is "緣來自有幾", all of the torrents for every episode have the different names, but all of the resulting downloads have the same "緣來自有幾" for a folder name; and within the folders, there are a lot of files with names common between each torrent, it is the common files which create the errors.
May be it is just my version of Utorrent, it gets confused when different files have the same name and it is instructed to save them all to a folder named "緣來自有幾". If you don't seed, there is no problem, you just have to stop the old torrent and move the files out of the completed folder; that's probably the reason you never encountered the problem.
I can instruct Utorrent to ignore those files but didn't think it is nice since the creator has included it but I may have to do it.

| That would only be an issue if the files with the same name were not identical to what was in the torrent. Different file = different hash check, same episode or not. You won't be able to seed something that isn't exactly the same with any success, so unless you move it back to your download folder and either redownload the ones that are different, or ignore them you're not going to have much luck. Easy way to check ahead of time is to move it to the d/l folder and do a manual recheck. I'd copy it first though... _________________ I am not obsessed. As an experiment, I downloaded episode 12-17 overnight, without the extra files, I still got an error with episode 13 = "can't move file as file with same name already exist". And 13.rmvb stalled at 0.8%. 14-17, which was suppose to come after 13 were downloaded properly. It would appear that you can be somewhat successful if you instruct UTorrent to ignore the small text files, logo files etc. and just download the main .rmvb file. Errors are still coming so, it would appear that the only way to truly prevent errors is to remove the torrent and downloaded files as soon as each one is done. I still believe that the issue is the name of the folder not the files...
I used Azureus as well, same error as from UTorrent. Since you cannot do selective file downloading, the whole program simply crash after one torrent is done. Not good.
Kind of defeats the spirit behind Bittorrent sharing if I am forced to take down my torrent as soon as my download is done. My two cents. If there is no way around it, there is no way around it.
It is a very simple fix when the torrents are created... i.e. just give each folder a different name or just create the torrent with the rmvb files only. My two cents... I am sure that the creators have their reasons for doing what they do. I am just thankful that they are creating the torrects so I can enjoy the shows. Thank you.

this is one of the reasons why we ask all of our uploaders to keep their torrent names in english. they can use the asian characters in their torrent comments.
can you provide a link to the torrent(s)? perhaps myself or one of the other mods can edit the torrent to english._________________ Use THUMBS UP/DOWN buttons to KEEP or DELETE posts.

Here is the thread where the torrents are found: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_49341_90.htm?sid=b9d1df701f8df782fd12c458ed124ce0
I should clarify, the NAMES of the torrents are all distinct and in English. The resulting files, on the other hand, are all stored in identically named folders (named with the same Chinese Characters). Within each folder, there are also a number of identically named files.
I can start each torrent no problem because of their distinct names. However, because the resulting files and folders have the same name, both Utorrent and Aureus stalls as soon as the first torrent is downloaded and the second one starts. I can download no problem, as long as I stop seeding the previous one by moving it out of the destination folder. I would like to contribute by seeding but I am having problem doing so. I am hoping that it is just something really really simple that I have overlooked.

Those Chinese show torrents were not created by uploader using D-Addicts tracker. It was created by some Chinese website. You can tell because they were attached to messages in the forum. The most torrents here at http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php are fine. The people who post the torrents here didn't create them, so they can't do anything about it. You have to go to the original site to complaint.
Ok, I downloaded the torrent and see it was created by/for HDZone.org. Guess you have to head over there and have them create the torrents correctly.
