Series of the Week 3/10/04 - Big Wing

Alright, taking nominations for the next series of the week. Let me know what you want to add to the poll and I'll add it.

What is a series of the week?
Since there is now a substantial volume of torrents on this site, I was thinking maybe we should implement something like a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate most of the bandwidth to during that week. I think this would help out in a couple of ways:

1. People will know what series is available and have seeds, rather than just waiting and hoping.

2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, then with the series of the week you know which series you can pull off of DVD to help seed, minimizing troublesome multiple DVD loading.

3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward those specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.

We will be taking votes as to what the next Series of the Week will be. Please only vote on completed series, and not incomplete series, movies, songs, etc. I am only listing the completed Japanese series that I personally have, I don't have any of the Korean/HK series, so someone else will have to seed that if it gets voted on.

Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of Cdramas), and a good thing open to all may become a private party.

Which version of Big Wing is it? Is it the Keal capture in MPEG-1, or did someone DivX-ize the series? If it's the original MPEG-1, I can participate in the seeding.

one problem with marmalade boy, the release of it hasnt been completed yet. i watched all 11 episodes that have been released on d-addicts, and loved them, but realized that the story is maybe only halfway done. i know this because it leaves off, without conclusion, and because i read the manga, and know where it should end.

i'm really sad that its not all done yet. i watched it, thinking it was complete, then found out that over half was missing. the manga is really awesome, and i find the show to be of the same quality. they casted really well.

i heard a japanese version of hana yori dango is coming out. does anyone know if a japanese version of marmalade boy is scheduled to be made? it would make my life!!!

back to the poll, i guess my vote goes with oyaji. i am watching it right now, and i find it to be really good. i can help with the seeding as much as my bw will allow.

You know, what with this recent effort to reseed Otousan again, do you think this could just as well be an impromptu "Series of the Week" (for the 2nd time)?

Hopefully not. It was just a reseed, and the combined effort only shows that people appreciate the series. I really uploaded the torrents because the connection would have been left idle over the weekend otherwise.

Series of the week should proceed normally.

I'm partial, of course, but I can't wait to finish Big Wing, and I'm really interested in getting Oyaji and Shopping Hero as well, whereas I could possibly help out series of the week with S.O.S. if my set of files matches.
