I tried to look to see if I could buy the Taiwanese dramas off yesasia.com, and alas, I came up with an unsuccessful search! The only ones with English subtitles were dramas I had never heard of or didn't care for! The popular ones like It Started with a Kiss, Meteor Garden, Love Contract, Mars, and Hana Kimi were nowhere to be found.

So, can anyone please answer these two questions for me?????

#1: Why doesn't anyone do English subtitles for Taiwanese dramas and sell them? And I'm not talking about the people who burn them off d-addicts and sell them on e-bay. I mean, like actual companies that proof read and sell it proper on a site?

#2: Where can I find a place that will sell it?

Please help!!! It would be greatly appreciated!

Hmmm, I actually found some Taiwanese dramas on yesasia.com that were subbed, like Meteor Garden & Rain, Devil Besides You, & The Champion. Did you check out the "Taiwan & Other Asia" tab? The specific link to the "Taiwan & Other Asia" TV Series is down right now, but try going there later, maybe they will have other dramas.

From what I can access, there are a a lot more dramas without subs than with. I didn't really answer your questions, but hope it helps a little. Makes me wonder where we would go without d-addicts Blink

Hana Kimi probably doesn't have English subtitles because it's so new... don't know about the other ones though.

if you want to know, why don't you just ask them directly? Big Smile it's not like we have any decision-making power over what they do.

as for the ones that you can find there, be sure and see where it is from. many of the ones with so-called english subs are from the malaysia version. and those subs are usually pretty engrishy, to say the least.
