SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Jeong Da-bin was found dead on Saturday, local police said.
They said Jeong, 27, hanged herself at her boyfriend's house in the morning. The boyfriend, who was only identified by his last name Lee, discovered the body and reported the incident to the police.
The police suspect that she committed suicide considering there was no sign that it was a murder, and are trying to determine the exact circumstances of her death.
Jeong, who also became a South Korean pop culture star in Taiwan in 2005, acted in television dramas and movies.
If her death is confirmed to have been a suicide, it would be the latest case of a well-known South Korean actress or pop star taking her own life. A female singer Yuni committed suicide on Jan. 21, while movie actress Lee Eun-joo killed herself in February 2005, which shocked many South Koreans.
JDB committed suicide, the police believe she took her own life around 3:30~50 am in the morning. Her 'boyfriend' found her in the bathroom at 7:50am and immediately called the police. HEr 'boyfriend' is 5 years her junior (22 years old. JDB is 27).
But her company is saying that they were just close friends -sunbae-hoobae relationship.
They had a lot to drink with friends the night before.
They drank from 9pm to 3 am.. they were both drunk. They went to the guys house and he fell asleep. When he woke up, he looked for her.. when he found her lifeless.. thats when he called the police.
Her family is saying.. she had no reason to die. the police are sure that is was suicide. But they do not know the motives for her suicide. She had plans for a drama in June.
A friend said she just talked to her the day before.. and she seemed to be fine.
Observers say Jeong seems to have been suffering from depression, citing comments she posted recently on her personal blog.
A message she posted on Friday, titled "Finished," said, "I'm complicated and I feel like I'm going to die...I have lost my identity."
Jeong, known for her cheerful and positive image, became a South Korean pop culture star in Taiwan in 2005, and appeared in a number of hit television dramas and movies in her own country over the past few years.
If confirmed to have been a suicide, Jeong's death would be the latest case of a South Korean celebrity taking his or her own life. Female singer Yuni committed suicide on Jan. 21, while movie actress Lee Eun-joo killed herself in February 2005.
Da Bin has posted a message in her homepage before that "I'm angry but I don't know why. I feel like I'm gonna die because of stress. God... are you perhaps waiting for me?
She wrote on her Cyworld that it was 'Ending'. She left a suicide note..
I thought I was going to die because it was so frustrating.
I kept getting mad with no reason..and it was driving me crazy.
I was so tired..as if I would always get naseous..
My head hurt so much, I cried.
I almost became a slave to bad-temper and moodiness.
Lauging, then crying..it was enough to drive me crazy.
I finally began to think that I was losing myself..
And I began to lose touch.
Suddenly, like being electrocuted..Suddenly, I became peaceful.
The lord came.
He gives me strength, he strengthens my foolish self..
He teaches me strength, and makes me realize things that are close to me.
He raises me up when I was about to give up..
And he tells me that it's now alright.
I'm alright.
It's the only thing she left before she hung herself.
Oh my god.........

Review:
Imagine a story of a rich woman turn into a poor woman due to amnesia and for the first time she felt her life is meaningful.Here's the sypnosis of this brilliant drama.Based on the 1987 movie, Overboard, starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, MBC brings us the story of Anna Jo (Han Ye Seul), a rude, feisty, and audacious American-bred heiress who can never be satisfied. She returns to Korea only to continue being a controlling wife to her already cowardly husband, Billy Park (Kim Sung Min). When her yacht gets stuck for repairs, she hires local handyman Jang Chul Soo (Oh Ji Ho) to fix her shower, but when they have a heated spat over her dissatisfaction and lack of payment, she pushes him overboard and dunks his tools into the ocean right along with him. Later, after a quarrel with Billy that threatens to end their marriage, she herself gets drunkenly pitched overboard and falls victim to a bad case of amnesia.
But in the hospital, she ends up beside none other than Jang Chul Soo, who’s still recovering from his own swim in the ocean for his lost tools. Unknown to her, he’s been raising his three orphaned nephews in their unkempt house and desperately needs a nanny. Taking advantage of her memory loss, he manages to convince her that she’s his live-in girlfriend and renames her Na Sang Shil. But he didn’t expect her spoiled selfishness to slowly turn into compassion. And he didn’t expect to fall overboard again—this time, for her.
If you are looking for a fun comedy and love story korean drama you might not wanna leave this drama at all.I think i can respect the actress role in this drama.She's so elegant and well spoken english.She can plays the piano too.I like to see the way she acted arrogant and rude.The hero looks cool and great too but to me the actress is at her best compare to all other actors and actresses.Anyone care for mjjangjamun?The supporting actor (anna's husband) is so funny but yet can show some emotional display at times.This drama needs a crazy woman named Kang Ja for the audience to burst out their stomach.That girl is simply funny and whatever she does.....it's laughable.Nothing much of a scenario in this drama but just plain daily life in a folk town.I think Anna's (heroine) husband is cute while Jang Chul Soo's (hero) former girlfriend is pretty adorable though nothing much role about her.However I would like to remind the fans here that throughout this drama you will be asking yourself who the heroine chooses..........her beloved funny husband or the poor folk hero?I like the theme music in this drama and the other songs are great too and listenable.I have the utmost respect for the producer of this drama on how he turns the final episode into a brilliant ending of emotional.Suitable for teenagers and mature audiences.
