Sometimes the commentary on this site/forum, particularly from "elders" or moderators crack me up. I was fortunate enough to be elected president of one of the largest anime student organizations in the US... and while it was rewarding- it also had alot of sensitive egos ran rampant within it... with their rules, morality play, and needs to be massaged.

Though the commentary on this particular thread is not quite as rude as I have read before... bear in mind that newbies- particularly ones that are uploading things, are trying to do something nice & contributing back to the community by sharing. That's the whole point of this website, is it not? Be kind and educate with as little bite as possible.

Even subbers and uploaders don't own anything- bear in mind that we are pretty much all technically breaking the law by participating in this. Even if we sub a show, we have no ownership of it. Share and enjoy!

Thanks a bunch Ljorg!

What cracks me up is that every time the rules are discussed someone (in this case you) has to register just to make a statement like this.

Sure we don't own anything but this is a community and the rules are there for everybody's sake and so that we can keep people who are willing to sub/post series.
The rules are not there for anyone's "needs to be massaged" as you put it.

Please don't take this as any flame-bait.

Please don't get into a fight because of me not learning the rules before uploading a torrent. I'd just written a review of the series on a homepage and I wished for people to be able to download the series and watch it. I quickly created and uploaded the torrent before heading off to work and had no time to read the rules regarding such things.

I hope everybody will accept my apology. Next time I upload I will be sure to adhere to the rules here.

All of us have already accepted your apology and that you didn't know about the rules. It happens a lot, so don't feel bad that you made a mistake, but at least you know how it works when uploading batch files here on D-Addicts.

No Worries Ljorg. We're not in here for a fight. Just grown people having a discussion.

Like others said, there are reasons there are rules here, and it's a community. But part of the function of being in that community is expressing an opinion & making sure people take care of each other. You learn, I learn we all learn here. Thanks for the post... I'd act like as a seed, but I'm not sure I have the same Odoru as the one you are posting. It's a great great show, one of my favorites.

Gryzze, no offense, but although it cracks you up, there must be a reason that people are compelled to log in and feel like they have to give their 2 cents worth, don't you think? My statement is less about rules, more about just being nice.

I've spoken to a fair degree of people in the community, and some don't post because they don't like what goes on at D-addicts, and particularly the attitude of the people inside. It's a pity- because this is a really great resource.

yikes. four months away from d-add and there goes my reputation. zouto, perhaps you took my words the wrong way. i can assure you i am not one of those who needs my ego 'massaged'.

i thought i handled the situation quite professionally, and since words on the screen are not the same as one's voice, perhaps you read it in a different manner than i meant it.

my first words to ljorg was that it was 'extremely generous' of him to share. because it is. unfortunately, i did have to be strict with him because of the predicament it places me in. by letting the torrent live, it sets a precedence. if i say, 'hey, buddy, that's ok, it's your first time' to EVERYBODY who batches a previous torrent, that wouldn't make me much of a moderator. it also isn't fair to the original releaser. yet, if i let his live and kill all others, i look like a hypocrite.

if i had killed the torrent, we wouldn't be having this discussion, and i would have saved myself quite a lot of typing. i chose the road less traveled. i requested (notice i used the word 'ask' in my post) that ljorg make edits in his first post because it is likely this batch torrent will be around for a while now that it has been posted. as such, our users will look to the first post for information .. which is not there. i could have done it for him, but i felt it would be a learning experience to edit a post.

irregardless of what i write in this post, i'm a guy who likes to let my actions speak for themselves. i could have aggressively attacked your post like a guy w/ a huge ego would. i did not. i hope you will see by my past, present and future actions that i strive to moderate d-add in a fair and just manner at all times.

as a president, i think you can appreciate the fact that people in our positions sometimes need to make the hard choices. as you mentioned, we all learn. please let me know how you would have responded to the situation.

a very disturbing statement. i have been around the community myself, and i have never heard this about d-add. then again, i've been away for a while. could you tell me where you heard it?

I believe I had this problem as well once. I t was a while back, but I am pretty sure it was because I had too many codecs installed and they were conflicting with each other. If you have a codec pack installed, like k-lite, I reccomend you uninstall it, and then just install DivX or XviD, whichever codec Odoru needs, to watch it. You can always reinstall k-lite again later.

That's still a codec pack. Uninstall that and install the DivX codec. You can get it from here: http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/ After you install that, you should be able to watch it. After you finish watching it, you can reinstall your codec pack if you wish, though I reccomend just finding and installing all necessary codec yourself, since problems like this can occur again, and codec packs usually install a lot more crap than you actually need.

Just found out about this one, downloaded the batch and loved it. Thanks a ton!!

Does anyone have any of the specials? The search link at the first post in this thread brings up torrents for all of them, but none of them have seeders. If anyone has them and would be willing to seed, I would be very, very grateful!!! (Of course, I'm always willing to seed anything I have, if I have anything that's not seeded. I don't have a ton of stuff, but my collection is growing.)

Also, I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask for seeds on the specials, since this is for the batch of regular episodes, but I thought it would be more efficient to post here than to do a post for each separate special.

Thanks again!
