Hello,

While I was living in Japan I just loved watching this show. It was just so amazing was was done there and every week was fresh and new.

The setting is pretty simple: Get some pros and amateurs of a specific topic (Onigiri, Ramen, Onsen, flower shops, etc) together and set challenges that they have to overcome. Like make Onigiri that school girls would like to eat and the one whose Onigiri were the most popular gets the most points. In the end the winner is crowned TV Champion :)

So why am I talking about this. I just heard that yesterdays show was about UFO Catchers and I'd just love to see that since I'm an avid player too.

So has anyone any ideas where to find it? Is it even posted anywhere? Is there maybe a re-run that I could ask a friend in Tokyo to tape?

Please, I'd really like to see this!

And of course share the love, because TV Champion is one of the best shows I ever saw :)

Sil

You can find several eps on the tracker:
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=champion&type=&sub=View+all&sort=

If there aren't any seeds, please use the Seeding and Upload Request Forum (and read the announcements in that forum before posting). You can also use that forum to request uploads for eps or series...

Myself, I've only seen a couple segments from TV Champion, but never really became much of a follower... ^_^;

Enjoy
Smile

Thanks for your suggestion. I've posted a request for a ReSeed now. Let's see if someone will be so kind Smile

I guess there might be some crappy TV-Champions but the ones I saw were nothing short of amazing. I still remember the competition where they had to make the biggest Onigiri possible Smile Or the Chahan one were one had to withdraw because he sprained his arm working with two woks. It was always so much fun to watch and there was so much artistry and emotion Smile

I'm also a fan of this show and used to catch it often on the Japanese cable channel here (NGN Hawaii). NGN showed it regularly for a while a couple years back, then stopped showing it, then recently began showing newer episodes (the format of the show changed a bit). One of the best game shows NGN is currently showing is “Nonai Estee IQ Sampuri” which tests the I.Q.s of various Japanese talent through a variety of word games, trivia, kanji quizzes and memory games. It is great fun! My all time favorite game show though has to be "Ultra Quiz" which aired in the 80s and was very similar to the current American hit "Amazing Race" where hundreds of contestants faced challenges around the world and would be eliminated in elaborate and mind/skill challenging games. I don't think its has ever been committed to DVD but I'd love to be able to see this show again.
