While I can't have claimed to watch every Korean Drama made in the last 3-4 years, I've watched enough of them to know when something special comes along. And that something for me, since A Love to Kill in 2005, is Fantasy Couple. While Fantasy Couple is a light-hearted drama with relatively few conflicts and tears, neither does it contain the usual drudge of incredulous coincidences, variations of cancer, car crashes, and main characters whose families were switched 20 years ago - indicators of the typical korean drama that makes me embarassed to admit my nationality.
Thankfully, Fantasy Couple includes none of these. Instead, it has genuine humor, credible warmth, terrific chemistry between the main leads, a sympathetic and 3-dimensional villain, and most of all, a truly incredible main actress whose character can lay claim to a unquie mix of meanness and attraction. You may dislike her in the beginning, but as the story progress you will find that she grows on you.
Fantasy Couple is, imho, one of the top 2 or 3 dramas of 2006. It should definitely be included in the next SOTM ballot.

Hmm, the main purpose of our Korean Series of the Month feature is to promote some good kdrama oldies which need seeding. Everybody who wants to download a new drama such as Fantasy Couple can just go downloading it through our torrent page. The FC torrents were uploaded just recently, and they are still very well seeded. This wouldn't make it a KSOTM candidate. The poll candidates are chosen from the Volunteer List. The more seeders we have for a KDrama the sooner it may become a Series of the Month. 
Btw, the next KSOTM will be "Prince's First Love" which was voted 2nd place in the last poll.

I Loved it but it only took me three days to get every single episode when it wasn't KSOTM. I wouldn't nominate it now but maybe in a year or so.

Glad to hear it's the next one. I saw bits and pieces of it in Chinese, so it'll be nice to watch it with English subs, that way to understand it better. From what I saw, it looked like a pretty cute and interesting (and funny) show.

Is it still gonna be "Princes 1st Love" after the announcement that Ruroshin just posted. It looks like "Princes 1st Love" is licensed to YAEntertainment so it'll probably be removed from the torrents.

The recent drama lincensing issue will definitely affect the KSOTM very much. I'm not very sure about the future, yet. Unfortunately a lot of our listed dramas are licensed and thus cannot be included in our monthly drama freature. I guess I have to make a list of all unlicensed kdramas first to see how bad this is.
As a consequence I selected "Oh Pil Seung" as February's featured kdrama. I will also help seeding one or two episodes each day. Hope you like it as much as I did.
