I've downloaded the file, but for some reason, when I'm trying to play it back in BS player, the video is FLICKERING!! And I can't watch it with the subs!!

The video would work with Realplayer but I cant watch it with the subs so i've been watching it raw.

Can anyone help me with this??

Find a different player to watch it with. I use a program called VobSubs to watch things with subtitles on Windows Media Player. This isn't your only option though. There's tons of different media players with support for subtitle files.

Id prefer WMP[windows media player] newest vs. WMP usually works well with softsubs since all u have to have is the video and the srt file with the same name and the files could be in totally different areas and WMP would be able to find them and play them together. Or is thats still not working, download the hardsubs. arashi.vox.com uploaded soft + hardsubs.

i suggest that you download the matroska pack... it has most of the plugins you might need to make the videos work. as for the player, my personal favorite is gom player. :]

I'm not really having trouble with the subs. It's more of the playback. LIke I said, the playback video is flickering when played in BS player, but Windows Media Player doesn't even play. It's just a black screen. And after downloading Vobsub, it doesnt seem to work with Realplayer either.

I use Storm Codec which is a better version of Media Player Classic. It usually works on everything so maybe you could give this player a try. Oh and when you use this, the VobSub should automatically pop up. Hope this works for you :]

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Storm_Codec.htm

i'm having playback troubles too.. except my players just say that the file type isn't supported. i'm gonna try getting the storm codec. i've gotten the matroska pack, tried bsplayer, realplayer, mpc, windows media and gomplayer... and so far nothing has worked o.o :[ any suggestions?

download the latest k-lite codec pack....it will install all the latest codecs including divx on your comp. u should b able to playback all video types and subtitles afterwards with any player

if your comp says file not supported then u must b missing some sort of codec
good luck getting everythin workin......

All those comments are interesting, but, it's in the wrong place!

It's a drama made in Japan -- I think you have to write to the film makers there. Unsure Commenting on d-addicts will not help change things. This is only a forum with no ability to make changes.

There were things in HYD that I did not appreciate, but it is based on a Japanese comic book so things are a little exaggerated. They don't always have a true picture of the rest of the world, but it is interesting to see what they perceive of, as truth. Roll Eyes

Years ago, one of my teachers commented that in South America, because of what they saw on our films, they thought the U. S. was filled with cowboys, rich young heiresses, gangsters, etc. It's not a true picture. The US is so much more diverse than people think!

Anyways, thank you for uploading this drama! It is much appreciated! Wub

Go to http://www.cccp-project.net/ , READ the FAQ and do as they say. I never had codec problems again after installing the CCCP.
I highly recommend you install the CCCP on your computer, but as a last resort you can download and install VLC Media Player . It doesn't require any codecs so the file will play for sure. You just need to click on the mouse's right button and enable the subtitles (if you're using the softsubs).

Simply Smiles you should try vlc player. Its is not pretty at all but it works on about every movie type except for .wmv I've never had any problems with it. Here's the link http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Player/3000-2194_4-10616360.html?tag=lst-0-1

also if that still doesn't work maybe you should uninstall the codec packs you have and try reinstalling one cuz one time when i installed two different ones my videos didn't work but when i uninstalled both of them and then reinstalled only one it worked.

I hope that helps you
