i'm gonna restate what ay_link already said, install a copy of Subtitle Workshop. then go to Edit>Timings>Set Delay (Or you can press Ctrl + D) Now set it to approx -1.5 secs back and make sure that you tick "For all the subtitles" which will push all the lines back by 1.5 secs. just tinker it to get it to 'sync' to the video. Alternatively if you installed Vobsub, you may have installed another program with it called SubResync, which you may also want to use, to resync your subs.
