Aoi tori is quite dark, with a truly shocking episode in the middle.

I don't know if anything can match Byakuyakou, or at least the first episode... The first episode blew me away--probably the best single episode I've seen.
You might want to try 空から降る一億の星 (Sora kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi) or 眠れる森 (Nemureru Mori), both very good.

Awesome...I didn't even know about J-TV. Thanks guys-n-gals.
Néa, are you talking about JTV-Drama.net? Because I can't find Nemureru Mori there.

| Ahh...and that's why I watch fansubs. Lol...thanks again. BTW...I did know about J-TV. They put out Orange Days (excellent fansub job) and that's the dorama that got me hooked =p

| A Million Stars Fall From The Sky. Doubt it gets much darker or more twisted than that one... _________________ I am not obsessed. I am just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very focussed...

good dark doramas:
seija no koushin(heart breaking), kou kou kyoushi 2003 and 1993(1993 was very dark but its really good), cheap love, miseinen(unfortunately, no subs), taiyo no kisetsu
dark kdramas:
resurrection/buhwal~ one of the best dramas ive seen,Uhm Tae woong was a magnificent actor.

I decided to check out 眠れる森 (Nemureru Mori aka Sleeping Forest), because it got the most recommendations.
I LIKE IT. =) So, I'm going to give the rest of the series a shot. Thank you for all of the other recommendations. I'll be sure to refer back to this thread when picking my next dorama =)

I would recommend Seija no Koushin.
Nemureru Mori is also good but I find Sora kara furu ichioku no hoshi better (it's a little bit similar).
