I agree that it is one of the worst series ever. The plot is kinda OK.
I think the directing is what’s gone wrong here.

I don’t think the director really knows how to pace an ancient/action story/fighting sequence. Some of the scenes just drag on for too long w/out much happening. The director is trying to be artsy fartsy but didn’t really pull it off.
(Remember Ashes of Time by Wong Kar Wai? It was also one of the worst kungfu genre type movie).

Not sure why it made Series of the Month! Yikes!
What a waste of time. I wished some had warned me because it too me quite awhile to dowload the whole darn thing.
