Watched Rondo in two days .. haqita?! hehe...
I enjoyed RONDO alot though Yutaka did not say very much - but there is no need for him because his expressions and movements are very powerful. The story is kind of complicated and did not not always made sense to me but I liked the styslih way of this drama, strong pictures and the sound effects.
Yes, I also love 'I believe' and the 'Sayonara' song as well as the background music they used. Hope there will be an OST available.
How is Ningen no shoumei? I have not seen it yet but I bought the VCD last week - with Chinese subs. I cannot read Chinese nor understand much Japanese. I think one can call that addicted...
Do you get the doramas with English subs in Malaysia? Sorry I am so ignorant about the language in your country. Is it somehow close to Chinese?
Okay, hope to hear from you and what you think of Ningen no shoumei. |
Hihi!
The official language of Malaysia is the Malay language. Malaysia is a multi-racial country. There are three major races in our country which are Malay, Chinese and Indian. The most major one is Malay. I'm a Malay. Although we Malaysians come from different backgrounds and cultures, we live in peace and harmony. When the Malay is celebrating their festival, the Eid, the others will come and visit our houses and celebrate with us and vice-versa. I'm proud of being Malaysian. I guess by having this way of life, we Malaysians are able to keep our mind open and we welcome others with different languages and cultures with open arms.
I buy vcds with malay subs but the ones with English subs is available here. Is it that hard to find vcds with english sub in your place?
And Wow!!
This thread is getting more and more replies every day!
Keep it up guys! ;)
I like to see Yutaka's acting because he is able to potray each and every one of the characters with their own identities.
When we see Kayanama Takumi in Rondo, we are reminded with this guy who has a strong determination but at the same time, he has his soft side also.
In ningen no shoumei, Munesue is a cold person who hardly smiles.
And as Suzuki Kaito in Beachboys, he easily gets upset but as the story goes on, we are able to see the other side of Kaito.
Well guys, keep on replying!

Does it means 'good' or 'bad'?

Hi again and haqita thank you for your little insight on Malaysia. I remember learning about Malaysia in school and how fascinated I was about the country that is split in two big pieces by the (Indian?) ocean and how all those different cultures form an interesting friendly Malaysian society. Thanks to you those memories are coming back now. It sounds like a good place to live and is definitely a place I hope to visit sometime.
Especially after you are telling me that you can buy VCDs with English subtitles in your country...
Unfortunately, I cannot get Drama-VCDs or - DVDs at all in my country. Apart from the occasional Japanese or Korean movie on tv (with German subs or even dubbed into German) Asian Dramas simply don’t exist here and I completely depend on webshops (and D-addicts) for my dorama needs. Problem is that most shops are either in Japanese or Chinese so that does not help me much.
So haqita if maybe you can tell me about a good source in Malaysia that sells English subtitled VCDs, I would like to hear from you.
But apart from that I continue learning Japanese and maybe in 10 or 20 years time I will not depend on subtitles so much.
Okay, all this has been a bit : GOMEN NASAI
It is great that this Yutaka thread is coming along and it is wonderful to hear from all of you Yutaka fans out there!!!
There are many fascinating, well-acting, good-looking people in Dorama but Yutaka still impresses me most of all. ‘Despite’ his pretty face and good looks he always plays very different characters in a very convincing way. I was most impressed with his performance in Hoshi no Kinka 2, the development he was making from “the comple psycho Takumi-sensei” to a more caring and considerate person. He plays his roles not only 2-dimensional but his characters become real people with depth. That impresses me a lot.
I will watch Ningen no shoumei when I return from my holiday and I look forward to seeing Yutaka in yet another drama. Thanks haqita for little info on Yutakas role in this.

Hi again everyone!
I do hope that this thread is only taking a summer break - and I did not kill it by boring everyone to death with my last post. I wonder...
But I try to bring this thread to life again with some news:
I have heard that Yutaka will be featuring in a new dorama in Autum. Title: Otoko no katei.
Does anyone know more???

Hi Nadrika and thanks for your info!
This sounds very interesting: Yutaka as a family man. I have seen most of Yutakas dramas by now and I cannot remember him playing a father either - except for the father-to-be in Dekichatta Kekkon. Cannot wait to see him in this!
